I know a couple girls on here use this or something similar. I have read many different places that they can be used after sex to help keep the sperm where it needs to be!! Well, I am getting very desperate so I bought some!! So my question for the girls who have ever used them, or anybody who knows anything about them is...How do you use them(get it in and out), and do you think they could aid in keeping the sperm where it needed to be!! Also, I as thinking about using them for AF??? Do they work pretty well??

I found them to be kinda messy for AF cause the clear part never really opened up.. so it kinda splashed when it popped back into a circle shape.. if that makes sense? But honestly I used it for a bit and didn't give it much chance!

Putting it in was pretty simple, just squeeze the two sides together and insert it.

I've only used it for AF. but I think it would work for sperm placement haha. I've heard lots of people have used it for that.

I tried it for my period---FAIL! LOL I love my diva cup though. But insteads are good for those light spotting days that you want to have sex but your DH thinks its gross----just pop one in they will never know! LOL

i freaking LOVE instead cups. actually i stopped and picked up a new box on my way home from the airport yesterday! i used them the month i got pregnant and i will be using them this month too. i keep them beside my bed and then after we dtd i just pop it in before i even stand up and everything stays where it needs to. i leave it in for 8-12 hrs. it is great for ttc purposes, and inserting it is actually probably the easiest after dtd (i'm sure you can imagine why). i had originally thought i could use the divacup for the same purpose but i dont think it would do as good a job as the instead cup for ttc, the instead is flatter and more flexible. i mostly use my diva cup for af but if its in the dishwasher (ha gross i know) i have used the instead cup no prob. removal is a bit messy but i'm not squeamish.

oh just follow the directions in the box and you shouldnt have any probs!

I've tried them for AF and also never got the hang of them. I couldn't get them to open properly.

Honestly, I am not sure if they would work for ttc (but I don't think they would hurt either). All the sperm that is around your cervix and in the vagina, never make it up to the oviducts anyway. It's the ones that are 'blasted' way up there that normally fertilize the egg, lol.
