ARGH!! working with partners on a project is the WORST.
I realize now that I am a good writer and have definitely learned a lot from all my years of school. We each wrote a section of the project and I offered to put it all together into one cohesive document, and thank god i did. i basically have to rewrite the one person's entire section, its as though she didnt even read the appendixes she added to it because in the body of her work she contradicts what is said in the appendixes!! arghhhh!!!!! oh and after asking and reminding the other person to send me their work repeatedly i am still waiting for it....its due tomorrow!! i have a hard copy of his work but i mean, i cant be expected to retype the whole thing, send me the doc for gods sake!

just so frustrating...thank god for coffee....

Ahhhh how I dont miss those days!!!

Is English everyone in your groups 1st language? If so, be very thankful!!! (No offense to those who doesnt have english as their 1st language, but it can be very stressful).

I'd email that classmate to death until you get it. It sucks when you have to re-work somebody else's work b/c they were careless.

How much longer do you have left?

I can work in a team...but school assignments are by far the worst!!! I remember getting so irritated with people of projects and having to do all the work. I would probably email the professor after the project is turned in to let them know....but it depends on how well you know the professor. I am not one to out people, but that is just ridiculous!

as far as i can tell they both have english as a 1st language, i had a teacher who couldnt speak english very well once, and he was teaching chemistry, it was SO hard. i busted a vessell in my eye i had to concentrate so hard on the exam!

we were given an outline of exactly what to talk about and she just completely missed some of the points, and also her intro is just random rambling that makes no sense. I am trying to pick out what her point was of the intro, and i don't even know what it is!! i feel kind of bad, but i'm changing most of it. she said that it was fine if i did. to make matters worse she didn't cite any of her work, so she says all this stuff that she clearly got from somewhere and i have no idea what to put for a citation......blargh.

and i have emailed the other person already this morning....i'm goin to email him a slap pretty soon!

Do you have their phone numbers? Instead of YOU doing all the work, make them come together and you all work on it together.

Group assignments are a pain in the backside.

I did one assignment with two people when I was at Uni, and decided to get a head start on it since noone else had said anything about starting it... So I texted both the people to say what I was going to be doing and to let me know if they had any other ideas... The other girl texted back saying 'what a complete geek Tasha was' and all this other horrible stuff. It was obvious she was suppose to have sent that text to the person in our group!

I was so pissed off, but still did the work because I didn't want to get bad marks on it.

Sorry, bit of a off-topic story for you! Hope you get your essay sorted! Ditto to the above comment - you should just ring each person and get them over to help get it sorted...

yeah it only went downhill this aft! the guy said his computer broke and he copy and pasted his portion to me in email. lol. at least his work was decent enough and took about half as much time to edit as the other portion so at least we have it done....

everyone lives like an hour away from me so it was always hard to meet up, but now i will be doing things differently in the future for sure!

I HATED group projects in school! I always ended up doing 99% of the work... Group projects in the real world (at a job) are a piece of cake compared to school groups. I am annoyed for you!
