Humor me and let me brag on my DH for a minute.
We decided to encapsulate my placenta after Lila was born but between the new baby and taking care of the boys I couldn't get to it so he did the whole thing for me from start to finish! And he was happy to do it! Man, I love him!

100 points to your hubby!
Have you started taking the pills yet? Noticing any benefits?
DH said he'd encapsulate mine for me too but we wound up not doing it.

WHOA! Now that is something to brag about! Tell your DH he is now top husband on wttc grads! Mine may do something like that if it didn't gross us both out, hahaha. We are squeamish I guess.
Did you do it with all your kiddos? If not, can you notice a difference between having it or not?

This is the first time I've done it and I do notice a difference. I started taking the pills Friday and within 2 days my cramps were gone (they lasted over a week after having Loch), I have more energy, and my bleeding has been almost nonexistent. I'll definitely do it again!

Whats the benefit of placenta encapsulation? I know Mrs. Nerd did it but I have no idea why.

That is awesome!!!
I completely forgot about my placenta....DH photographed it for me, my midwife held it up and showed it to me and how everything worked and where my bag of waters broke but once Nolan latched on I completely forgot about keeping it!!!!

What a great husband! Mine would NEVER EVER do anything like that. Believe me.. haha I talked to him about it when I was pregnant. I don't think I would be able to do it either. I would have to have someone else do it for me.

WTG hubby!!!!!! Tell him we are all very impressed
I don't have anything to compare it to...but I had NO cramping and VERY little bleeding, I had insane energy, I had NO baby blues even, my milk production was quick and tons, My m/w was impressed with my follow up and the size of my uterus I could have just been that really lucky postpartum mom but I do believe alot of it was the pills...I will do it in the future as well.

How big was your baby girl again Jenn? I am noticing in general moms with smaller babies had a much easier labor and post partum. I mean I guess that makes sense. She was a good size though, if I remember correctly.

Way to go hubby!!! Dh and I are WAYYYY to squeamish to do that...but I have heard such good things about the benefits I want to do it so bad...there is a company in St. Louis that does it for you (along with a whole bunch of other services) I would love to have it done! My stomach just couldnt handle doing it myself though!

She was 8lbs 14oz--my biggest baby so far! Labor was the quickest out of all of them and even though I did tear with all my kids it was the least with her as I only needed 3 stitches. Post partum this has been the easiest too but that could also be because this is the third time I've done this now, who knows.
I thought I'd be too squeamish to do it too but it really wasn't bad at all. I could have done it if time had allowed. We will certainly do it again though!

Woah! Major brownie points for him! I don't even know if I could do that and I'm not squeamish. I would totally consider having it done though.
