What can I take to lunch? I usually take sandwiches but sandwich meat is a no no. I don't have access to a microwave so that makes it difficult. I've been eating so much fast food because its in walking distance. I need healthy lunch ideas. My weight gain is getting out of hand and I'm getting to the point where its depressing me so much I'd rather just not eat anything which of course is bad for the baby.

Veggies and dip, apples and caramel sauce, You can have some tuna so maybe a tuna sandwhich, if you like them egg sandwhiches(or egg salad ones), premake a salad and bring along a side of dressing,

What about a salad? You could take a can of tuna and lots of greens, carrots, olives, cucumbers etc. Maybe a couple of boiled potatoes on the side.

I'm a bad one to ask because I ate lunch meat during my pregnancy.
Do you have access to a refrigerator? I agree with the other girls. Some sort of fish might be nice. I like the cans of salmon over tuna. And the Omega 3's are great during pregnancy and salmon is on the ok to eat list.
Also, maybe pita chips and salsa? Cereal and milk (assuming the fridge)? A vegetarian sandwich, with marinated grilled eggplant instead of lunchmeat? Also, if you have a Subway nearby, I have always loved their veggie delight sandwich.

I'm of no help. I ate everything that ppl say you shouldnt eat including sandwich meat, hot dogs, coffee, wine (on rare occasionally), fish, seafood, sushi (mainly california and spicy tuna), etc.
Me and subway were really great friends. Maybe you can try there. Or baked chicken with a vegetable.

i was going to suggest egg salad, its so yummy. a greek salad would hold up well to take to work too, with like chopped up peppers, cucumbers, tomato & feta. Also mixed bean salads are really good with some chopped red or green onion and they are really healthy and filling. or you could do a combo of any of the above ingredients in a cold pasta salad, i had one last night at school and it had peppers and red onions and it was really good.

I used to always take a sandwhich for lunch prior to preg too.
I continued to do so while pregnant, but I used either fresh roast turkey/chicken breast (they sell it at Trader Joe's) or I'd get a whole rotisserie chicken and pick the meat off for sandwhiches and salads. Both meats don't work super well on sandwhich bread since the cuts are thick, but while pulled apart they work great for wraps. Plus you can throw in a lot of veggies that are otherwise diffucult to use on sandwhiches.
Amy's frozen meals are also good options. They have low sodium stuff as well. They are all natural and mostly organic.

If you have access to a fridge then salads, veggies & dip, fruit, pasta salad (or if you don't have a fridge you can always put these in a lunch box with an ice pack) Or get subway and just make them heat the sandwich!!
