Resi's ERF post got me thinking....and wondering....how long do you girls plan on keeping your LO in a 5 point harness vs. moving them to a booster with a lap belt?

Harrison has not given me any grief about his 5 point harness..he's actually really proud right now that he can buckle the top part himself now! I plan on leaving him here for like as long as he will stand it.....I don't see him really caring any time soon.

I've heard people say (my sis for example) that they put their LO in a booster because they can't find a 5 point harness seat that fits their preschooler comfortably but Harrison is in the Britax Frontier and its awesome....it's totally a big boy seat and not a car seat!

Seamus will be 4 in July and is 46lbs and over 3½ft tall and still in a 5-pt harness in his Graco Natalius(sp?) his goes to 65lbs for the 5-pt harness, and we'll keep him like that till he hits that weight.

Kieran will be the same, her seat is the My Ride 65 so her 5-pt harness goes to the weight limit of the seat which is 65lbs

We have the Graco Nautilus and so Curtis will be in that until he's 65lbs. I made my MIL buy one too so he'll be in a 5pt harness till 65lbs in her car/van as well.

Mine goes up to 70 or 80 lbs so I plan to keep Amara there as long as possible.

Morgan will be in hers till she hits the weight restrictions (which will be about when shes 4) and then well switch her to a booster seat. Well see though, shes still kinda scrawny...I may just buy her a bigger carseat....Ian's been in his booster because his seat expired, and we didnt have the $$ to buy him a new carseat. I think boosters are fine as long as the child can respect sitting in one (I.e, no moving the seatbelt, not squirming, not trying to pick something up from the floor) He's really set on making sure his seat belt is tight before I drive anywhere. but hes also REALLY tall and it just made it easier on us. Now Isabelle will have a carseat that she can ERF in, so she will be in that carseat till it expires!
