He left with my parents after dinner to go up to their lake house about 3 hours away....I just talked to him in the car on my mom's cell and he's so grown up...they went thru a bad spot for cell service and he was like yelling..."Mommy I can't hear you....talk louder"....it was so cute. Nora goes to bed first and then Harrison and I do our thing (DH is working every night right now). I miss him...I missed doing stories with him and singing our lullaby song, and doing his night time prayers and the Lord's prayers and brushing teeth and having our teeth brushing party (he has these toothbrushes that light up and we pretend we're having a party and turn the lights off and stuff). I just love that kid. He's like saying on the phone, "Mommy I sure love you a whole lot". I miss him and I'm sad in a happy way about how grown up he's getting....I'll see him tomorrow so I guess I"ll make it! I'm going up there tomorrow with Nora and then Saturday we're going to see the live Curious George show in Greensboro - I'm totally pumped!
It's just all happening so fast...he'll be in kindergarten not this fall but next fall - and yesterday I went with his little buddies Mommy to visit a school for pre-K or Kindergarten. I loved the school too...its a private Christian School and it was just an amazing environment.... I got a good feeling while I was there....but we have a few more schools to visit....
...I cannot believe this is already happening.... what happened to the little baby I had???!!!

Harrison sounds like such a sweet boy. It's all so bittersweet. Reading your post makes me sad that they have to get big so fast. I know it's part of their job to grow and learn but it's sad. I like them little and innocent. I love how much they love us mommies too.
Have a fun time this weekend.

Thanks Resi!!....you are so right....its so fun to watch them grow up and be big, but then it gets you all melancholly to think about how they were just once little tiny guys not talking or walking or anything needing you for everything to only needing you for the really tough stuff.....
I am proud of the little man he's become...yesterday when I picked him up from school one of the teachers was taking a cart back to the kitchen with a tub of sippy cups in it and they fell off the cart and the cups went everywhere and he spun around and was like "Mommy, Ms. Devon knocked over those cups...can I go help pick them up"....I was so proud....and Ms. Devon was so excited about her little helper she wanted to give him something ...here is where it went all wrong and I'm not sure how to teach him about all this but maybe he's too young...he cried cause it was a sticker and he wanted candy...so she said I'll bring you a lolli pop tomorrow and he cried more cause he wanted it right then. If she wouldn't have offered him anything I think he would have been fine but he wanted candy over sticker.....geeeshhhh! Sigh...oh well we're half way there to respectable little man.....

Awwww, he's so sweet. I wonder what it'll be like for me when Miss Amara gets a little older and goes off to visit with the granparents overnight. That's going to be hard.

Awww Harrison is such a sweetheart. Why don't you do something for yourself to unwind? Bubblebath, wine, a good book... whatever relaxes you!

I torture myself by thinking about it almost every night while I watch him sleep.
