Shane and I replaced the lower kitchen cabinets, pantry, counter top, and sink a few weeks ago. When the new counter went in we had to cut our backsplash a little bit and ended up cutting our wainscoting too. We decided to just rip out the wainscoting and smooth out the walls and go with 100% paint. We also ripped out the upper cabinets while we were at it. Our floor is lanoleum tiles that look like stone (brownish with some red and green tints) and I eventually want to replace them with real stone tiles in a similar color. Our counter is sandstone colored (light beige-y pink). Our backsplash is stone (beige-y brown) with blue glass accent tiles. The cabinets are true, clean white and we have brushed nickel fixtures. The only thing I am undecided on is color. So HELP! Please!
I like Ralph Laurens 'Island Sand' and Behrs 'Moss Print' as potential colors:
Island Sand: Island Brights - Lifestyle Colors - Paint - Ralph Lauren Home - RalphLaurenHome.com
Moss Print: Behr Paint and Wood Stain - House Paint and Wood Stains

Oh and the hallway leading to the kitchen in blue and the hallway leading from the kitchen to the back is orange. The dining room is a beige-yellow kind of sandy color, same for the living room. I don't know if that matters but our color scheme is generally beachy/neutral/earth tones except for the orange (pumpkin spice) back hall. The bathroom is chocolate brown, Gem's room is the same sand color as the dining room (for now) and the master bedroom is a light, minty spring green.
I need ideas for Gem's room too because I'm going to redo the paint while she is in Disney next month. I'm thinking of using the light springy green on the bottom, putting an accent stripe of our chocolate brown above that and then doing another lighter color (like sky blue) for the top. We're going to be putting bunk beds in there at some point so Gem picked out polka dot bedding for one bunk and stripes for the other. So we've got a whole rainbow of bedding colors with most of the accent on orange and pink. I also got polka dot wall clings to put up in a rainbow of colors and sizes and made wall letters of both girl's names. Gemma's is polka dot and baby girl's is striped. The wall letters are disney princess pink, spring green and chocolate brown with a little bit of white.
TIA girls!

We just did some renovations too and that backsplash looks a LOT like ours, except ours laid on its side so it looks like diamonds instead of squares. AND I am about to paint our walls a very similar yellow! Looks like our tastes are very similar.

So what color would you paint the walls if it was your kitchen? The second color is a mossy light green, not bright but not dark or anything either. I'm leaning towards the green because our backsplash, counter and floor are brown. Then we could do brown accents, like the curtains and stuff. I'm just wondering what you ladies would want for your kitchen color if this is what you had to work with!

I personally would go neutral, like the sand color you picked (2nd link doesn't work). I think the green might clash where it meets the orange and blue hallways. Or at least that's too many bold colors for my taste... but of course, its your house! I would just add turquoise or green accents like hand towels, place mats, window valance and maybe some candles or a vase. It looks awesome, by the way!

I would go with a neutral tone, maybe a bit on the darker side? Everything is so light colored in the kitchen, it could use a little contrast (depending on how much of a "light and bright" look you are going for). Not too dark, though, it would make it look small.
