I think(If I remember right) there's 6 April babies having FIRST birthday's this month!
Kieran, Toby, Chole, Matthew, Henry and Alice. They all turn 1 this month (well its close enough to April )
So whats the birthday plans? Invites out yet? Birthday outfits? Any pic's of stuff you have?
oh ya one more question, What are you getting them gift wise?

I am LOVING planning his birthday!

I'm really not sure what he will wear. But I'm having a ahrd time finding a cheap first bday bib. Carter's has the "birthday boy" bib but it's white (super stains with bright cake icing?) and it doesn't say "1st".

But my planning is in full swing! His party will be May 1st cause his birthday is on a Tuesday.

It's a Dr. Seuss party with ideas I got from the blog Amy recommended.

I got photo card invites made and they are being shipped to me right now. They say "You would not, could not, want to miss... a Dr. Seuss party like this!"

Each refreshment table will be modeled after a book. I chose Green Eggs and Ham, Cat in the Hat, One Fish, Two Fish, and Happy Birthday to You.

To save money I bought all the tablecloths, plates, and napkins in solid colors that correspond to each book. Then I'm planning snacks that match the colors. Also we're doing hot dogs and hamburgers and cupcakes at each table. There will be no big cake to cut up. There will be several dozen people attending and I don't want to be bothered by serving cake.

For example: Green Egg and Ham table: Orange tablecloth/plates, green napkins/cup, white plastic ware. Green cupcakes with white icing and picks in each one that I'll "scrapbook" with pictures of Sam I AM. Then green deviled eggs, green veggies/carrots, ham and cheese platter, and Limeade to drink. Then I'll also make little signs and pictures from the book. Oh and matching balloons!

Ed is making a huge video show of most of the video we have of Hank since was in the hospital. We'll use the giant projector screen to have it playing for awhile during the party.

Oh and I forgot to mention, it will be held at our local National Guard armory. We've been given most of the armory free to our use. I love Ed's unit! They have a commercial kitchen and huge back area for BBQing

On his actual birthday, close family is coming over to give presents and watch Hank eat a cupcake. That is way more low key and just appreciating our little guy!

What is it with April?! We have 12 birthdays in our family and close circle of friends! Obviously something was up 9 months before April!!

I am not sure if we will be having a party. Too much drama with DHs family will mess it up, and most of my family is scattered across the US.

Chloe is having 2 parties ( we have a small house ) She is having one on the 9th for a few of her little friends and then she is having a family one on her actual birthday (10th) I'm going to make her another tutu as her last one is now to short ... think she had a growth spurt lol,

Gift wise we are not really sure yet but we are thinking hard !!!

I'm behind all my planning! Justine I still want you to do the invites if you have time. I have GOT to get you the info and pics and stuff but I have to set up the other laptop and I just got in from my mom's house.

Anyway, we are having a Twinkle Twinkle Little Star theme party. I'm going to make him a star smash cake. I'm making a homemade bday banner and going to put up pics of him, one for each month kind of like what Mari did for Amara.

I will post tons of pics! I can't believe I only have 3 weeks to get ready. I also want to write Matthew a letter that I will give to him when he is older.

Wow, it's so hard to believe! All these babies were born last year right around when I was first pregnant, so I remember them all so well. How exciting!
