So thats the question - what prefolds are you using and where did you get them? Are AIO's easier than prefolds? What do you use (with links!!) and why? Im making the plunge and buying 2 thirsties covers this weekend....and am wondering about my choice.....

I use pockets and prefolds. When I first started I used fitteds and pockets. We just bought our first AIOs (I do have some Miracle diaper aios but they leak cause they were testers). I have both Thirsties Duo covers and Bummis covers. I love the thirsties, the fit is awesome, and my bummis ones are nice too(tested some for them and have a butt load) but I still like the thirsties better.

I use Bummis Organic Cotton prefolds and they are so fluffy and soft, and Kieran can nap in them and when she wakes you can barley feel the dampness on the other side(trifolded, the ones I have are too small to fit around her normally)

I love my Bumgenius Pockets and Fuzzibunz. Pockets can be annoying having to stuff them but I like being able to make them thicker for road trips or sleep times.

AIO's are nice but they take longer to dry which stinks

Heres stuff that I like (I suggest getting at least 1 of each kind of diaper or a trial package, to see what you like, everyone likes different things and different things work for different people!!!)

Katies Fitteds, she sent me some and this is what we started full time cding with The Raven Tree Online Shop

pockets I like bumGenius 3.0 One Size Pocket Diaper - Free Shipping on cloth diapers & MORE
FuzziBunz One Size Pocket Cloth Diaper - FREE shipping!

prefolds I like Bummis Organic Cotton Prefolds - Free Shipping!

And MMB has trial packages (IF you have a local store ask if they have a trial program, or even check out diaper swappers to get some used diapers to try different kinds)
30 Day FLING with FLUFF Cloth Diaper Trial Package - FREE SHIPPING!

I havent started yet obviously but have my stash.

I have GMD (green mountain diapers) prefolds a few covers and mostly pockets w/ inserts (Happy Heiny, BGOS, Haute Pockets).

I have 1 AIO. They are expensive! I like the AI2s though like Grobaby and flips.

ok so Angela and I have been going back and forth (thank you!!!) and asked her what a pocket diaper was compared to an AIO, and Justine answered that for me LOL Ok so heres my newest sets of questions LOL bare with me here

Prefolds:

You said trifold, justine, is that just a regular prefold, but folded up the way its suppose to? Can you add more absorbency to prefolds by adding a new layer? Morgan was saying her friend laid the prefold in the cover, then put it on the baby - does this work? Since Im having a girl, how can I double up on absorbency while not being too bulky between the legs?

What in the world is a fitted???

Pockets:

can you use anything to fill them? if so, what do you use?

god you'd think I could go to the CD forum and ask (which I have I need to go check my thread) Im not up to code on abbreviations so help me out LOL!!! thank you ladies!!!

Tri folding is just folding it, one side in the middle and then the other and laying it in the cover. Theres a ton of different ways to use prefolds, trifolding is the easiest for me because Kieran moves too much to pin or snappi it on. Add: you can add 2 prefolds trifolded if you need, or add a doubler into it

A fitted is a dipaper that will require a cover, just layers of cotton/flannel/bamboo/fleece can be anything but they aren't water proof

You can use what you want for pockets but if you buy new 9/10 they come with microfiber inserts. you can also use prefolds or hemp inserts to stuff with

I use mainly g diapers with g flappers. It's a WAHM's version of the G cloth and I really love it.

I do not suggest g diapers for long term use. The velcro is a pain, and the elastic in the liners gives out quickly. Although with that said I really am glad I bought them to start and learn! I think I will change the ones I have to snaps and buy some new liners, so that I can use them with new baby as well. Others have success and no problems with them.. so I dunno! haha.

I also use Gro Baby
Gro Baby - Experience, Gro Baby Diapering System

The thought is that you can switch out the snap in inserts. But I find that the mesh gets too wet and it's not wipe able so I use it more like an AIO.

I also use

BG 3.0 one size
bumGenius 3.0 One Size Pocket Diaper - Free Shipping on cloth diapers & MORE

I love that you can change the absorbency. This is actually my go to night diaper. Dustin's butt stays nice and dry in it as well. But I don't actually like getting the insert out especially when it's a poopy one haha.

I'm getting this system to do Dustin and Baby
FLIP Organic Day Pack

I think it will be similar to the g diaper but better quality and it's snaps which I adore. I know a handful of IRL friends that use them and love them. I went to order a day pack from a local CD shop and they were sold out of boys! UGH!

I got my prefolds here during a sale. They also have second quality prefolds on sale right now. They are gorgeous, soft, and fluffy.

I think thirsties is a great choice for a cover.

I have a few AIO... but they are expensive. Obviously i have no experience actually using them.
