What did you put in your child's Easter Basket? Care to share a picture? What are you plans for Easter?

Oliver is getting spoiled by us this Easter. We just got done setting up his gifts and Easter basket. I can't wait for him to wake up and check everything out.

We got him a table and chair set from Pottery Barn Kids, a sand toy bucket set, a couple plates with Peter Rabbit on them, and placemats with Peter Rabbit. In his Easter Basket there are blueberry and strawberry freezed fruit, a chocolate peanutbutter egg, hat, sunglasses, gymboree bubbles, nontoxic natural playdough, fork and spoon set, and bunny ears!

Here are pictures!

We are staying home on Easter and my mom is coming over for lunch. I'm making a baked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, asparagus, and brussel sprouts. I'm making Berry Cheesecake Parfaits too.

We are going to start a new tradition of painting a wooden easter eggs each year. We will date and put Oliver's name on the bottom of the egg. Each year he will make one and we will hide them on Easter morning for him to find. I don't care for the plastic eggs or doing hard boiled eggs so I found this as an alternative. I think it will be a lot of fun to look back at the eggs each year. Tomorrow morning we are going to attempt to have Oliver make his first egg.

Reid is getting:
2 small squirt guns
A squishy ball thing
Playdough
Peeps
Elmo easter eggs with jellybeans (we will help him bite pieces off, not have them whole)
Two toy cars
Marshmallow owl on a stick thingy
Sand bucket and shovel
Age appropriate remote control car
Bouncy ball
Toy bus
Animal crackers

....and I made scones again, and made one in the shape of a bunny with the eyes, nose and mouth made with dried cranberries

We dyed easter eggs (he loved dropping them in the dye!) and plastic eggs filled with jelly beans and animal crackers that we will hide for him. I am telling him that the easter bunny brought his basket (the other stuff will be from "us) and I also have a big golden egg which will be our yearly tradition. It will have the "best" stuff in it- this year it has MORE jellybeans and some chocolate....future years it will have money. lol.

I ordered the wooden eggs online. If you go to my facebook page I have the link on there. I never bought the fruit before. I thought I'd give it a try with Mr. Picky. I don't really want Oliver having candy yet either but since he is picky he will only have a couple little nipples of the chocolate. I won't normally get him so much but I wanted to get him that table and thought I might as well make it an Easter gift.

I'll let you know when he tries it out. It might be a while because I'm not sure I want him playing with it just yet. I was going to order it online but I found it at Whole Foods!

Everyone's baskets are filled with awesome stuff! It gave me more ideas. I wanted to get him a bubble blower but forgot. I can only get him so much and already spent more than I should have.

cute stuff everyone!!

for some reason bre's 'owl on a stick' made me chuckle hehe

i was just telling dh we should have done an egg hunt for payne but really he's still so little, plus they arent even at our place today. i freaking LOVED easter when i was a kid, my parents would hide those little chocolate eggs like fiends and it would take me and all my siblings to be able to find them all! i cant wait to do that for my future offspring!

Since we dont really celebrate easter (I was formally christian and am TOTALLY burnt out on easter) We usually just have lunch at parents house. My dad knows Im not all up for tradition (christmas is another story!!) So its just low key I think my step mom might have some eggs to hide at lunch, but thats it No baskets, no church - just lounging around with yummy food

We didn't do a basket for Jax this year. We meandered around the store for over an hour and couldn't come up with anything to put in it. We did get a couple fresh mangos that I pureed for him to try... he loved them! He also got a new pair of pants from MIL, a book from SIL, and a vibrating toy turtle (lol) from his great oma.

I know... I'm a party pooper! We look forward to coloring eggs and having a basket next year.

Very nice!!!

I love all the pics.

It's not that big of a deal here although some places (schools, day care centers, etc) are doing a lot more things now.

I was planning to let Amara celebrate it at an outing with a friend but we have a wedding to attend.

ETA: We are planning to go kite flying tomorrow so I think I'll put a basket together for her. I just got her some new outfits and shoes from Gymboree (she wore 1 today) so I can add those too.

Nolan got an easter basket from Grandma, she got him a book, a cute outfit, some links, and a cute toy. Nothing too crazy.

We didn't do a whole lot. I got him a book "That's not my bunny" a touchy feely book.

My mom got him a stuffed bunny.
MIL got him a stuffed bunny and plastic basket (that he can later use for outside) and some plastic eggs to play with.

I might have done more but he's got a bday coming up so he'll be getting stuff then.
