I have been fiddling around in photoshop and I want to know what people think of different photo enhancements. I would post them on the photog board but I want this to be like a running thread where I can just keep adding stuff. I ask my hubbie what he thinks and he is no help, lol.
So would anyone be interested in helping me out by looking at pics and giving a quickie opinion? I do want this to be a running thread if anyone is interested

I will probably suck at offering anything useful but I'd still give it a shot.
Bre has a really good eye for picking up things. I saw a thread on the photography board a little while ago where Bre critiqued some photos for a lady who asked to have that done and some of the things she caught would have flown right past me.

Sorry Jack derailed me. Ok, here is the first one. Tell me if you like the style or feel of the pp (post processing). I wasn't especially concerned with composition since now that Jack is crawling he is hard to take a picture of. But it still turned out nice, I think.

I like it, but I would push it a bit futher. It's hard to tell if it was done on purpose.
Are you running actions or doing them on your own? I can't wait to see more of your photos! Like I've told you before, you're doing an amazing job and growing so quickly!

I like it. It looks like something from a magazine or like one of those pics that come with a photo frame.
Bre what do you mean by push it a bit further?
I have no clue about photography

Ok keep in mind I really know nothing about photog other than point and shoot and attempt to get cute pics and sometimes something a little different if you know what I mean.
I think it's a cute pic, what stands out to me are his beautiful eyelashes and he has a sweet expression on his face. From a critical point of view the only thing that bugs me on 2nd glance is I think maybe his right arm (on the left in the pic) is out of focus whereas the other arm is in focus. And maybe it's meant to be that way? I'm just not sure about that.
Oh and I know what you mean about it being harder to get pics once they crawl, we had a horrible time trying to get Matthew to stay still for his 9 month pictures!

Okay I don't know much of anything either but here are my two tips!
The first one I wish that more of the bottom of his face was in focus although like you said, that's hard to do with a crawling baby!
The second one I would want it to be more crisp! So like bring out the black lines, make the black more striking.
Just my thoughts

I personally like that better I like when the shadows are actually black, makes it sharper.
Can't wait to hear Bre's thoughts!

I like the new edit on the original pic, that is exactly what i meant Sometimes when I try to do something funky or fun to one of my images, people will say, "Why is that one so dull?" - er....because I made it that way!? lol. The edits need to not look like you did them on accident or in error is what I meant. Sorry, photographer lingo. lol.
Michelle, I don't care for the new image. He just looks like he was pasted onto pink What does the original look like, without the faux background?
