Ok so here I sit, 34 weeks pregnant, and my kidney has been hurting me since last night. I just went pee not too long ago and it felt a weird sharp pain after wards. YUP, its turing into a UTI. Is AZO ok to take? the UTI form? Im drinking water and taking cranberry pills, and will get some actually unsweetened cranberry juice when I go get hubby from work. Someone either tell me I can take the pills or just shoot me now

I'm 95% sure that Azo and normal UTI antibiotics are fine while pregnant, but obviously ask your doc! I get UTIs all the time You need to get on an antibiotic ASAP though, it's a bacterial infection and could develop into a kidney infection if not treated.

Hope it goes away soon! I HATE UTIs!!!

I have no idea if it is ok to take!!! I hope for your sake it is!!! I have only ever had 1 UTI in my life and AZO pills saved me!!!

pyridium is safe to take (not sure of the other ingredients in AZO)
And if your kidneys are hurting you should go in and get on ABX ASAP.

She had me do a sterile sample and well know tomorrow but if there's anything there she said they will culture it and well know in 3 days. Well good lord I can't wait that long!!! Thankfully I think its just a kidney infection (its not hurting to pee anymore) so I'm hoping she can treat me tomorrow. She said azo is fine to take till we figure out whats going on, thanks gals!!!

Well I hope its just a uti and not a kidney infection, those are pretty serious especially while pregnant.

i hope its just a UTI....... i'm not sure about taking the antibiotics though, but you know your body and what you can handle. i had a kidney infection/uti once and the meds made me sicker than i was in the first place.....
