I painted most of the kitchen but taping the ceiling and the tops of the archways was just way too hard for me so a lot of the edges were left unpainted the last couple days. Shane and I had picked out a new curtain rod for the living room and when we got home discovered it was missing the mounting brackets. So today I decided to be lazy and took Gemma to return it and buy maternity summer clothes/out to lunch/etc. I got home a few hours later and Shane had finished the painting except for a few tight places between the cabinets and backsplash, etc. I'm so excited to get our kitchen done so we can move on to the next project and I'm so glad I'm done climbing ladders for awhile!

Oh and I bought the new Flip Ultra HD today and he didn't kill me even though we have a camcorder. I wanted the Flip so I didn't have to worry about DVD's and charging a battery and trying to upload videos and what not. The Flip is just so handy!

Yay DH!!! That's awesome and very sweet of him. We are painting too, ugh it sucks. DH told me today I'm not to help paint anymore because he is paranoid about the fumes, no matter how urgent I think it is to get it all done. We'll see how that works out. Mind you this is a sudden paranoia, I already did some last weekend!

Jessie - We went with Behr's harvest brown. It's a little darker than I originally intended but so far we both really like it! After we finish painting, Shane is talking about putting new cement board and ceramic tile down in the kitchen and bathroom and then tiling the tube surround and putting in a new vanity. He also wants to paint the dining room and back hall. Plus I'm repainting Gem's room and putting in bunkbeds while she's in Disney with my mom at the end of the month. We have a lot to get done in four months!

that is awesome that he finished it up!! i can totally sympathize with the kitchen not being done, it took us 6 months and a HUGE ordeal of taking the floor down to the joists to be able to get our teeny tiny kitchen finished. it was SO HARD, and we got married in the middle of the reno too!
