And nothing! No dilation. Cervix still high up. Doc said I'm probably going to go past my due date although I could still go at any minute.

If I dont go by my due date (next Friday) then they'll set an induction date for the following week. ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!

By the time Lani comes out, she'll be 2 yrs old, walking and talking!

Are you down with the induction? Gemma was four days late and I went into labor on my own but they still gave me pitocin and it SUCKED! I hope Lani decides to make it easy on you and come without any medical help!

so Lani is pretty happy in there!! how are u feeling chelle? r u ready for her to be out or are you cool with her chilling out in there?

i thought it was 42 weeks that was the absolute max for going 'over'? i could be totally wrong though! my SIL went 10 days overdue though so maybe i just convinced myself that 2 weeks over was normal!

Lani is going to come way before she is 2 years old!! I know you must be frustrated to here that, but it really can just happen like THAT. I'll be praying that Lani makes her grand entrance soon!!

for a good appointment.
She dosent want to come out till you give us another dance
Seruiously though, I hope Lani comes soon and dosent keep you waiting too long - I always said to DH if they didnt give me a c/s i think I would still be in labour now Its kind of a running joke when ever we talk about Mia being born.

I did see on your FB that your still at work - How you coping at work? do you plan on staying there till you give birth or are they making you leave when you get to your DD?

Come on baby girl, come on out!!! I hope she can come on her own. I sat at 2 centimeters 80% effaced for a MONTH both times and opted to be induced (no pit though) at a week past my due date

I'm feeling good other than shortness of breath and gettign tired quicker, but if you saw me, you'd never think I was 9 months prego and ready to pop any day now.
She said that they dont like for their patients to go 7-10 days past their due date b/c it could be harmful to the baby. If I'm not dilated past 40 weeks then when they schedule the induction, the day before, I have to go to the hospital to get some type of gel in me to help ripen and soften my cervix. To help me deliver vaginally as opposed to having a c-section

At work I'm fine, besides people asking me everyday "YOU'RE STILL PREGNANT!!!". Although I have 6 days left, they see me and my belly every day lol. My co-worker who's a massage therapist is dying to give me accupressure to send me into labor. I was going to go today but my mom isnt coming until Monday, so I may wait til next week or see if there's anyway I can pay her extra to come out to my house.

How were you induced Lisa?

My friend did nipple stimulation and that did the trick for her. She told me to try some of that nipple cream that you get from a toy party that gets you all warm and tingly and it'll send me into labor. She said all she did was put the cream up there and let it do all the work. I'll consider it after Monday.

I've walked, had orgasms, bounce on my exercise ball daily, eat spicy foods, tried to help my cervix prepare with RRL and EPO, nothing has worked. She is head down though and has been for a few weeks..

I tried ALL that stuff you mentioned and it NEVER worked They inserted prostaglandin gel. I had to lay flat for an hour and then I was allowed to walk around. The contractions are very minor during that time but they start almost immediately. After the hour of lying flat and walking for about 30 mins I hit 3 centimeters and they broke my water and the contractions always come on strong and hard for me immediately once my water's broken. I then used nipple stimulation while I was sitting in the shower and that really got it going. I had 8 hour labors each time.

my SIL had an acupuncture induction and it did the trick!! it took about 24 hrs though.....GL with the acupressure, i think they usually will go to your house for a little extra cuz i know my acupuncturist was late once bc she was inducing someone at their house.

I tried sex, nip stim, spicy food, driving over bumps, walking until my legs were sore, etc. Nothing worked. It was actually the day I decided to give up and relax that she decided to come! I woke up, ate breakfast (I think it was pancakes or waffles) and then got a bath and got dressed. I watched TV for a little and was just thinking about lunch when the hospital decided to call and tell me I could come in and get my induction started! Turned out I was in labor and didn't know it yet! Hopefully you will get a surprise like that too!
