Anyone take their LO to Gymboree classes?
If so, how long have you been going?
How long do you plan to go?

I've been taking Oliver since the end of Jan. Now that the weather is nice I'm thinking about not taking him because it's expensive. He seems to really enjoy it though and I think it's nice for him to have something like this to look forward to. I might keep taking him because it gives him a chance to socialize in a group setting. I feel bad for him if we stop.

It was too expensive for us and there isn't one close by. We just hit the playground instead.

I haven't, but someone in my playgroup has. She said she was just going to do the free one but her son enjoyed it so she felt guilty not signing him up. She said it was expensive.

Is there a mom's group/playgroup you could join? Check out meetup.com Maybe a library time for toddlers?

While gymboree classes have a controlled setting (which I love, parents are ao much nicer and actually care where their kid is) its just too expensive I did find a local playgroup that is $30 a year and its indoors (don't get me wrong I love sunshine but hate chasing kids around outside!!!) So we might do that this year. It will really help socialize my kids since headstart has a year long waiting list so I'm not going to even bother

We get together with other children his age once a month. It's usually a playdate with a few other moms. I also take him to the park almost daily now that the weather is nice.

I love Gymoboree because it offers circle time, learning, and free play. It's structured. He just started warming up. Oliver is shy when he is around other adults and kids so I think this is good for him. I know we won't be able to afford the $65 per month soon so I'll have to find something more reasonable. Luckily my area offers a lot for children.

Liam was the same way until he was about 2 1/2 then he really came out of his shell. Now you'd never know he used to be so shy. I think taking him to the playground that whole summer really helped bring him out, especially since Lochy is so bold, he was a good example too.

See thats the bad part of being a SAHM NO MONEY!!! DH is Cheap! haha. I know they have a free starter class that Ive always wanted to take her to but it's always during her nap time. There's some Gym type class to that I was thinking of getting her into. But not till she's at least 2. The thing with Cambria is she NEVER stays still!! I would love to be able to take her to something like that cause she is rarely around other kids and loves them!
