I had my first appointment and everything looked great. As soon as she came in she gave me a huge hug and said she was so excited to see us back again. She found the heartbeat on the doppler and it was in the 170s. She talked with me about my choice of pain meds and I explained what happened with Rylie when I got the epidural and how I'd like to go pain med free and she was very excited. I saw OBs and the midwives with my last pregnancy and I had a non-medical induction with Rylie. She told me that since I've chosen to only see the midwives that I won't be getting an induction unless it's necessary and gave me a huge grin and and I said I know, I really want that this time. I've done my research and would prefer to avoid induction if I can. She said just remember you can't be pregnant forever and God will bring that baby into the world when He's ready for her/him to be here. Plus, if you want a med free delivery it'll make it easier for you if you wait to go on your own because your body lets off natural endorphins to help with pain management and that isn't so with an induction because it's not ready yet. I said I promise I won't ask you for one, I'm going to be a good girl and she laughed and said she wanted to take a peek at baby for fun after the internal exam. After the internal she ran out and got Andy and the girls. She said hi to Taylor and gave Rylie a big hug and said the last time I saw you, you were 6 weeks old and so tiny. Now you're a beautiful blue eyed girl.Of course, Rylie proceeded to "talk" with her for a few mins. She started the u/s and we saw baby

Baby was sleeping so she/he didn't move but you could see the heart flickering away and make out the eyes, the nose, the mouth, the chin, ect. I go for another u/s in 13 days and I have another appointment May 10th

Here's my munchkin..
