Yesterday, I went to my mom and dad's house to see my grandmother. We had made plans the day before for me and the boys to go over there for lunch and to hang out together. So we were sitting on the couch having a conversation when Preston took the lego bag and put it over his head. Since it's made of plastic, I took it away! Well he threw a horrible screaming temper tantrum! I tried to calm him but he was so hysterical that he wasn't responding to any of my attemps. Well, the next thing I know, as I'm trying to calm Preston, I see this cop come to the door peering in the glass door and was banging on it! So my grandmother answers the door and the cop says he got a call that there were children screaming and adults were present! My grandmother informed him that we were there the whole time and that Preston was throwing a fit because I won't let him put a plastic bag over his head. So the looks around my grandmother at me, glares and walked away without a word!! So then my grandmother told my dad about it and now he's mad at ME because I had a domestic call at his address! And I was just trying to keep my son safe! I really hate my life somedays! I don't even want to go to my mom and dad's house ever again! And now I'm paranoid that if Preston or Edward screams loud enough during one of their temper tantrums that the cops will be called!! I think it's SO unfair that my dad is blaming me for something that I had NO control over!

OMG, who would call the cops when they hear a child scream (let me alaborate cus that sounds wrong lol) - you can so tell when a child is screaming from being scared or having a temper tantrum. I think someone in your parents neighbourhood has seriously problems if they cant tell the diffrence. And had a serious case of the over dramatics.
Do you have any idea who it was because I would go over to them and clearly inform them that when they heard your child have a TEMPER TANTRUM you had acutally taken a plastic bag from them to stop them from SUFFOCATING them selves to death!

I hear the little girl next door screaming most days and you can tell she is having a tempter tantrum and i am sure they have heard Mia aswell! But I have never in a million years thought about calling the cops.

I have no idea why your dad would be so peeved... Espeically as he should know you where only doing what was best for your son.

OMG! i cant even believe that your dad would be mad at you for that. that makes no sense. it def wasnt your fault, so try not to let it get to you. thank goodness you took that bag away from ur kiddo!!

How ridculous that your father is mad at you! I can't believe a neighbor called the cops because of the screaming but I guess someone never can tell what is going on with the screaming.

I'm sorry but your parents seem so hard on you and your parenting. I wish they would lay off. They should see all the amazing things you do and what a great mama you are!
