First off thanks to Aimee for keeping everyone posted and thanks to everyone for the good thoughts.

I was supposed to work 11AM to whenever again today. I woke up about 9AM and laid still for awhile and noticed baby girl wasn't moving. Usually she's up as soon as I am. I got up and went to the bathroom and even after I was done peeing I noticed I was still dripping something. I kept wiping and wiping and it was yellow so I thought it was urine but I was afraid it wasn't. So I balled up a piece of toilet paper and put it *up there*. I sat down and replied to a few posts on JM while I was drinking my orange juice. OJ ALWAYS gets the baby moving like crazy so when I still wasn't feeling anything after a half hour I started to get really freaked out. I went back to the bathroom and checked the TP. It was yellow again. So I called my OB's answering service and expected to be told to lay down or something.

So when the OB himself called me back within 5 minutes of talking to the nurse and asked me to come in right away I really started to panic. I started to cry and Shane was doing his best to calm me down. By this point Shane had been at work for 11-ish hours and then up since getting home early in the morning. I told him to get some sleep and I would call from the hospital if I needed him. The drive to the hospital went really quickly thankfully and I managed to down a half liter of water on the way knowing that would be good for me and baby and the OB would probably want a urine sample.

I've never been to L&D in this hospital and there was no one around for the most part with it being Sunday. I got on the elevator and just started going up and up, checking the signs on each floor before I went up to the next. Finally I saw a sign for L&D on the 4th floor. I followed the signs and was able to find a nurse who got me to the right section of the floor. Another nurse came over and took me to a room. She had me change into a gown and give a urine sample. Then they hooked me up to the monitors. She had a lot of trouble finding baby's heart beat but then she decided to lay me all the way down and apparently baby didn't like that. She started going nuts and all we could hear on the monitor was 'thump, thud, thump' as she went crazy punching and kicking. I started to feel a lot better at that point.

The OB came in and seemed pretty concerned. He did a speculum exam and said he didn't see any signs of fluid. They did a swab and a slide and both were negative for amniotic fluid. Then he checked my cervix and I'm not dilated at all thankfully. At this point the OB still wasn't convinced that nothing was happening so he pulled out an old u/s machine. He did a really quick peek and said my fluid levels look fine and baby is moving around like crazy. Both the OB and the nurse said they couldn't believe how much she moves. The OB said he usually wants to see 8 movements in 8 hours and we were probably getting 8 movements a minute but she's facing my back right now so that's why I didn't feel her this morning.

They decided to let me go but with instructions to stay off work for 3 days, no sex for the rest of the week and use Monistat for a few days to make sure there is no yeast infection beginning. I should have the results from my culture in 2-3 days and we'll know then if I need something stronger or have a more serious infection. So right now I am relaxing on the couch and my mom is going to bring Gemma home (she had her for the weekend since I was supposed to be working). I picked up a pregnancy magazine and some Reeses cups (my fave candy) and brought a liter of water into the living room. I'm going to watch TV, read my magazine and maybe do some homework until Shane wakes up.

If you made it this far thanks for reading and I hope I won't have any more false alarms. Thanks again for all the well wishes and to Aimee for keeping everyone posted! Love y'all!

I'm glad that it ended up being nothing serious. I'd take a yeast infection anyday over leaky fluids at 23 weeks.

Enjoy your few days off!!!

I can't remember how far along I was but I remember they sent me to L&D with Cambria cause It was noon and I hadn't felt her move yet. Of course as soon as they hooked me up she was bouncing everywhere! I just didn't feel it for some weird reason. I hope that lil trouble maker doesn't give you anymore problems

I'm so glad everything is okay! Around 20ish weeks was when my cervical fluid really increased A LOT, to where I was wearing a pantyliner every day etc. so when I first started reading your posts that's what I was thinking, although I don't know about it being yellow. But if you think it may not be a yeast infection, or if its still early and you can treat with probiotics you might want to consider that. If I remember correctly, Monistat is a class C drug so if you aren't positive its a yeast infection you might not want to treat for it, kwim? Just throwing that out there. I'm really glad everything is okay! Enjoy your rest for the next couple of days!

I've gotta get ready for work so I didn't get to read through everything, and I missed everything because I didn't get on JM yesterday at all, but I get the idea that everything is okay. I'm glad all is well!
