My beta came back at 69. Definitely not progressing as my beta 6 days prior was 49. I have no idea why my betas would be going up and not down like that. I'll probably test again tomorrow with my last FRER, hopefully the line is like nonexistant....i'm eager to try again, who knows maybe the third time will be the charm.

I don't know what the numbers are supposed to be, but I gather from your tone that it wasn't what you were hoping for. I'm sorry Sarah.
Are you going to get any further testing done before you ttc again?

Sounds like maybe they were going up and now they are dropping? That would explain why they are still higher than 6 days ago but not much. I'm so sorry this is happening again. is your doc going to do any tests or at least put you on progesterone this time around?

Im sorry Sarah Yea, it definitely sounds like they went up just a tad after your last draw then started dropping... I really hope they checked your progesterone as well because with what you had said earlier (2) that is WAY too low to maintain a pregnancy and they need to get you on progesterone! (And progesterone cream just does not get the job done when you really need progesterone like that)

i'm 99% sure he said my progesterone was 2. What do i need to ask for in terms of progesterone then? Suppository? Oral meds? Socialized health care works so much better when you go in knowing what to ask for. I will make an appointment with my OB tomorrow and i'm pretty sure he will give me progesterone, last time i just went in and he said 'what do u want?' lol
i'm just so curious as to what exactly is going wrong. i think that my egg is getting fertilized, its implanting and then something in the early cell divisions is messing up......
i think my dh might go in for a SA....we briefly talked about it...i figure it can't hurt....

I'm not 100% sure but I think Alice takes progesterone pills....again, not 100% sure. Hopefully she'll give a better answer!

Progesterone levels may be different or something in Canada than down here, but here they need to be at least 10, if I'm not mistaken. 2 is definitely not high enough to sustain a pregnancy. You need to be taking progesterone as soon as you ovulate from now on. It sounds to be like your egg is being fertilized just soon, but your hormones aren't high enough to maintain the pregnancy and that's why your uterus is shedding its lining and you're losing it. I think its weird that your OB knows your progesterone level and hasn't suggested doing something to improve it. Can you find a different doctor or are you stuck with that one?

Ah sorry, its my family doc that tested my progesterone, so the OB doesnt have that info yet. Since i don't plan on using an OB for a healthy pregnancy (whenever that is) i just go to my fam doc (close to home) to do the early blood work etc. So depending on how the blood work went i would either go to the OB (to get progesterone) or the midwife (to have a baby). i'll make an appointment today with the OB....
as if my uterus got the memo last night, i started bleeding again....
