First off, sorry for worrying you girls. I didn't mean to be away from the comp. all day.
I had to work this morning. I tried to call off/wriggle out of it and my boss just wouldn't give. It's a really long story but I am ready to quit my job and tell my boss to shove it. As short as I can make it, I got to the job and realized 1. that I was missing some equipment, 2. that I had been told the wrong arrival time (I was 1.5 hours early, and 3. that I would be very lucky to be able to do the job because of my belly. I called my boss and asked him to send a skinny person with the equipment I needed. He told me that no one was available so I drove the hour plus round trip back to our shop to pick up the equipment just to find two of our guys sitting around there. I asked them why they couldn't bring the equipment and they said my boss told them not to bother. I got the equipment and got back to the job a half hour past when I was actually supposed to be there. Then I had to squeeze myself through a 18" manway into a deaerator tank (imagine trying to squeeze through the steering wheel of your car). I managed to do it but it was really tight and now I'm bruised and sore.
It took forever to get the job done and get home. As soon as I got home and got Gem lunch, Shane woke up and wanted to go to IKEA and get the bunkbed for Gem's room (she goes to Disney with my mom Saturday and doesn't come back until Thursday). So we went and got everything we needed (bunk, toy box, shoe rack, hanging toy bin) and then Shane wanted to take to Gem to Toys R Us and get her a new toy. Then we went to IHOP for dinner and when we got home we put the toybox together.
Anyway, I never did go to the doctor or even call. The bleeding hasn't come back and the baby has been moving all over the place all the time so I'm pretty sure everything is okay. I've made up my mind that I'm done getting upset and worrying and freaking out. The baby stuff can stay packed up until I'm 30 weeks plus because I'm just not ready to face it again right now. And I've also made up my mind that I'm going to make Shane watch 'The Business of Being Born' this weekend, talk to the doula I want to hire and practice using each type of cloth diaper on a teddy bear or baby doll. I shouldn't have to hold his hand through all of this and I expect him to research on his own and ask questions if he's not sure. I want to give him the basic run down to get him started and help him figure out what questions he needs to ask but then he needs to step up and start asking questions or doing research. Hopefully with Gemma gone and us having three or four days together we will get a chance to talk and I can reinforce all these things.
Anyway, sorry this got so long but I wanted to let you all know that I am okay although frustrated to the point of boiling over. I have until Saturday to finish all my school work for the end of the semester so I will probably be somewhat MIA and then Gem will be leaving so I will probably be really busy trying to get Shane to help me finish her room and understand my POV. Take care everyone and thanks so much for the support and good thoughts. I will keep you posted if anything else happens.

Don't worry Mars! I basically told my boss the same thing. My company really couldn't afford to do without me (as evidenced by the fact that they can't even replace me for a single job). Luckily (or unluckily) my certifications are pretty hard to come by and chances are they couldn't find another person with all of them if they tried. This may have given me a false sense of security but I am always up front with both of my bosses in letting them know when I think they are doing something bass-akwards and they've always been fairly receptive and seem to respect my opinion!
