This may get long, so bare with me...LOL

I went in for an ultrasound on monday and some bloodwork. The ultrasound came back just like we thooiught it would....not much going on......the biggest follicle was about 6mm. My estradiol level was 88, so that was good, it was consistent with what was going on. The upped my follistim from 50iu to 75iu. So thats 4 days at 50iu and now I have done 3 days at 75iu.

Yesterday I was in so much pain...I felt liek my ovaries were going to explode . I went in for another ultrasound and I had 3 follicles that were bigger than the rest, 8mm and 10mm on the right side and 8mm on the left side. I had my blood taken again.....unsuccessfully out of the left arm, so we had to try again out of the right arm......hurt like hell!!!

I had to go back to work, so the girl who works with me RE was just going to call and leave me instructions on what to do next. When I finally had a chance to listen to her message, she said I was to stop all meds for 3 days, and go in for another ultrasound and bloodwork on sunday. I though it was weird that she had me stop meds, but I listened.

I called her this morning and she said the reason I was told to stop meds was because my follicles weren't much bigger than on monday, but, my estradiol level was over 500 . There was a great concern of hyper-stimulating my overies. She said that that is why I have been in so much pain. If my estradiol level goes back to normal, I can resume injects on sunday.

So far the pain is better today...yesterday it was so bad I couldn't even stand up. I am instructed to call the on call DR at SRM(my fertility place) if I have anymore bad pain.

So, I guess I just wait.......hopefully the follicles will continue to grow over these next couple of days.

If you made it this far you are awesome...I told you this was going to get long...LOL

I've seen a lot of stories on TTCMA on ladies getting a BFP on an OHSS cycle! I'm sorry you're in pain but I'm sure it will all be worth it to see that BFP soon!

Half of your post was completely foreign to me.... And here I thought I knew all about ttc! I'm sorry it hurts so bad. Hopefully after being off the meds for a little while it will subside.

Thanks for the update Morg! I was wondering how you were going.

That is horrible that you are in so much pain, I hope it settles down over the next few days but that those follicles keep on growing.

Really looking forward to following you through your journey to your BFP!!
