And we have no idea what is going on. I was pretty sure I had a cyst on my right side and sure enough he palpated that sucker during my pelvic exam and I about jumped off the table. Ultrasound confirmed a very large cyst "near" my right ovary but also showed me being only about five weeks pregnant. I have no idea how that's possible when you consider that I got my first faint bfp on March 23rd which was over a month ago.

There was a sac but nothing in it so the options are this:

1. My dates are off and everything is fine with baby, it's just too early to see anything yet.
2. The baby stopped developing at five weeks and I'll either miscarry at some point or have a d&c.
3. The sac developed but the cyst on my right ovary is actually an ectopic pregnancy.

I had TONS of blood work drawn today and I go in for repeat labs on Saturday. I'll get those results back on Monday and then have a repeat ultrasound next Wednesday. If labs aren't promising or the ultrasound doesn't show anything, then we know this isn't a viable pregnancy. And if the pain on my right side gets worse or unbearable, I'm to head to the ER immediately.

So I guess that's it. I don't really feel much of anything, mostly just numb and accepting of whatever happens. It's weird, I feel like I'm in limbo but I can't make myself care one way or the other.

Is it possible that you got a faint bfp that was either a chemical (did you have spotting?) or an evap, then assumed you were pg and went about business as normal and THEN got pg making you only 5 weeks or so? Could that be an option too?

I have been charting and Lee and I have been using condoms (without fail - we always use them) and in late March I noticed I had creamy CM post-O which has only happened previously when I've been pregnant. I took a test and it was a faint bfp. I had some spotting a few days later followed by a temp drop which made me think it was the start of a new cycle. I had this "period" while I was in Chicago and really didn't think much about how it was weird because I was busy with my job. In the following weeks I continued to have creamy CM, never had any EWCM and never Oed. Last week I tested and it was a blaring positive instantly. Because I never had EWCM (which I always have several days of each cycle) and never had a thermal shift indicating ovulation, I assumed that "period" was actually implantation spotting which I have had with every other pregnancy.

I suppose it's possible that I had a chemical and then this time around I got pregnant, but when would I have ovulated? And what are the odds we would get pregnant with condoms two months in a row? Trojans no less! And yes, we do know how to use them properly, not to get too TMI but we're VERY serious about how we use them because we did not want a third child.

Goodness Kate. I hope it isn't an ectopic. I don't even know what to say. Heck, if I was in your situation I don't think I would even know what to feel.

Oh wow....I hate that you don't know what's going on. Saying a prayer that everything is fine and that it's not ectopic. Thinking of you!
