Sometimes being a super planner is a curse.
Henry was a planned baby. I charted and knew exactly when we conceived.
For months, we've been discussing when to start TTC again. And we've decided that after this next cycle, we'll be trying (to be due in March). But then I think I don't want another April baby (purely just to have something different) and the way my cycles look, I won't want a May baby either because I'd be due the first week of the month and if baby comes a week early like Henry did they could end up with bdays very close together. And I'm horrible with the heat, so I would rather not be due in the summer months. Which leaves us TTA until I'd be due in a Fall month.
That's alot of stress Sometimes I wish we could just "see how it goes" and NTNP. While I'm thankful for FAM and charting (I swear by it with conceiving Henry), it's also impossible to to NTNP. I know too much about my body. I know the window of opportunity to conceive. I wish our next baby could be an "surprise." But I just don't know how to do that.
Anyone else stressing over planning the next baby.

I'm not sure what to suggest.
For me, I just stopped the pills and we DTD whenever. I must admit that since I had ovulation pains I would try to get in a couple sessions around that time as well but we kind of just went with the flow. I didn't take temps or really do the whole charting thing. I did attempt it but then opted not to.
I hope someone else can be more helpful.

ahhhhh i can totally sympathize with the whole knowing too much about my body thing. When (stupid) ppl tell me to relax and just let it happen, all i can think is how i will know if we dtd at the right time or not so its not like it would be possible for us to have a surprise either. plus with me wanting to chart better to try see if i can lengthen my LP it is even less of a surprise....
maybe if u didnt keep track of your cycles at all? hm i'd still know when i was O'ing based on CM anyways......argh!!

I don't think I could ever actually NTNP either because I am so aware of my body so in my head I would be trying and DH would be NTNP

I don't chart anymore. We just use a barrier when we DTD during what I think are fertile times. My CF is a HUGE indicator so it's near impossible not to know my O window.

Well I swear I must have forgotten everything or my body is wacko. I thought I Oed 5 days ago (had a little of what I thought was EWCM) but I guess not b/c AF showed up today. I don't chart, don't pay too much attention to CM, don't think about what cycle date I'm on, etc, so that is how I NTNP. Also just have sex if we feel like and have energy for it (haha) which is not too often anyway. Maybe if I got a ton of EWCM and it was obvious when I was Oing it would be more difficult. I hope you get preggo when you want! We are waiting to TTC until June (would give us a March baby) and we'll probably keep on from there since I have no idea how long it will take us to get preggo or if I'll need medical assistance again.

For us, NTNP means no MA, so I'm no help. My wacko body is confusing me even with all my fertile signs!

Same here. That is basicly how Oliver got here. I knew when I ovulated and would have sex around that time. DH would NTNP by PnP. ha ha..
I have stressed a little about when to ttc a second baby. I wanted a spring baby for something different since I already have my fall baby. I've also gone back and forth with the age gap. At this time I'm not thinking about it because I don't know what we will end up doing.

I'm a bad woman, I don't know my body and it doesn't know me (Look at my last 2 afs, one was 19 days long next was 15...) We NTNP with Kieran because I wasn't having AF and didnt think I was ovulating (doc even said I wasnt' , but after my m/c in 2005 I stopped ovulating too so I thought it was the same thing)..
We're in a different boat, the last 2weeks after what happened I think we are done at 2 and I'm trying to figure out how to prevent till dh can get the big v. I havent' found any condoms that don't hurt me horridly then turn the mood off for me. And I obviously can't chart right because Kieran till nurses and messes up the whole temping thing

Yeah, I don't know how the whole NTNP thing goes... I know my body to well!
I can sympathize with the whole being 'too planned' thing! I am such a planner!!

Ditto to Aimee. But as long as I wasn't charting there wasn't too much stress. I knew when I was around O time but didn't force the issue of DTD unless I was in the mood. I think that's part of why it took us 9 months to get pregnant!

We are stressing over our FET.
We originally we're gonna do it in September. If all went well, I'd be due in May/June most likely. J.J would be 23 months, we'd be moving in August -- I get to use my midwife -- I enjoy winter pregnancy and already have winter preggo clothes -- life would be great!
However, DH is concerned because with a baby due in May/June he would be finishing the final pages of his dissertation and still have to present it. He is concerned about time. Not to mention, day care for 2 when we move.
So, he and I have been thinking of waiting until 2013, and then having 2 embryos implanted and try for twins. J.J would be almost 4.
I don't want huge age gap between my kids -- i think a 22-28 month age gap is nice.
*sigh*
Not to mention we need 3,000 dollars to do the FET......

Sorry to threadjack, but Sam.... When does DH do his dissertation? Is there a reason you couldn't do your FET in October and be due June/July instead so you could still use your MW and have a 24 month age gap? I think you should give us an update on how your doing and how JJ is doing and what not! Private forum maybe?
