Do you know your blood type? Do you know your child's? How would someone find out? I ask because I was told by my doctor is was one thing and my mom says it's something else!
Here's the conversation I JUST had with my mom:
Phone Rings
Me- "Hello?"
Mom- "What's your blood type?"
Me- "Umm, when I was pregnant with Edward, the doctor asked if I knew my blood type and I said 'no' and when they tested my blood type she said it was A+. Why?"
Mom- "Well, on the birth card I got when you were born, it says that your blood type is O+."
Me- "Well, they asked me when I was pregnant with Preston if I remembered my blood type and I said 'Yes, A+'..."
Mom- "Well, I OBVIOUSLY got the WRONG child! I probably have an intelligent child out there somewhere who graduated from Harvard and is on the Supreme Court."
Me- "Ummm....I'm sorry"
Mom- "What are the boys' blood types?"
Me- "I don't know, they never told me."
Mom- "Well, what if they need a blood transfusion in an emergency?"
Me- "I asked them and they said that it's not important because they would type them right then."
Mom- "Hmm.....Okay. Just wanted to know."
 ......shrugs......

I have no idea what the girls are but I do know that I'm O+ and Lee is O- so I know our kids are some kind of O, just don't know if it's positive or negative.
And that conversation with your mom was totally weird and random.

I'm pretty sure I'm A...and I'm pretty sure I was told what the kids were at their birth or it was written somewhere but I have no idea know where or whatever....but woah what on earth is your mom talking about...???? And why would it have a blood type on the birth certificate....none of the ones in our family have it on our birth certificates??? I'm confused HA!

I guess it was on the card they keep in the hospital bassinet. It had my date of birth, weight, length, head circum., size of my chest.....I don't know. I still have to info cards from they boys' hospital bassinets and neither one of them have their blood type and I've look ALL through every single piece of paper work I have since their births. And there is nothing on their about their blood types.

That's a very random phone call....
I can't remember what I am. I was told at some point during either this pregnancy or Dustin's... I think this one. I don't know what either the boys are nor what James is.

I'm A-, I dunno what Andy is, Taylor's A+ and Rylie is A-. My OB I had with Taylor told me mine because I'd need Rhogam. I didn't need Rhogam after my delivery with Rylie, only at 28 weeks, because she's RH- like me

I agree with the others that was a very weird phone call! I know that my blood type is positive (since I didn't need the rh shot during my pregnancy). I just forget whether I am A+ or B+ (I know it wasn't O+). I have no idea what Osric's is. I do know the red cross is always running after DH to donate blood. If he was awake I would ask him what type it is but I forget.

Hmm I don't remember much from my highschool biology class but that combo doesn't seem to add up. I thought AB babies couldn't have an O parent. Maybe I am mistaken.

I think you are right - he might just be B+ because the B is dominate over the O he would have gotten from me. DH might even be B-, there was something with the jaundice being worse because one of us was - and the other + and that plus breastfeeding made his jaundice levels "higher".
Okay so basically we have deduced that DH was WRONG and does not remember everything....hehehehe.
