Matthew update - he took his first steps a few days ago and I think he took about 4 in a row yesterday. He says "mama", "dada", "nana", "done" and in the past I think he's said "ball" (bah) and "kiss" (tss) though he hasn't said those lately.

And now to the birthday! His actual birthday was kind of tough for me, as we'd had my dad's funeral just two days before. It was an okay day, we did a few things together, he had his first popsicle, it just wasn't how I thought it would be if that makes sense.

We postponed his bday party till today and I'm glad we did. It gave me time to get ready both for preparations and emotionally.

Pictures! His party theme was "Twinkle, twinkle, little star"

I had photos from newborn to 11 months and then a bigger 12 month picture in the middle that I had the party goers write notes to him on

Here you can see the happy birthday banner I made in the back (was hard to get a good picture of it). I got the idea for this on etsy and it came out reallly cute.

Shannon everything looks wonderful!!! Justine those invites are beautiful!!!! Matthew is so handsome!!! What a cutie little guy! I'm glad you had a great day with Matthew and family for his party. His actual birthday was very bittersweet for you, huh? Still sending lots of hugs for your loss! You're party looked so fun!

Awwwwwwww he looks like he had a blast! I love the decorations you did. I love his romper too and the picture of him scooting around on the fisher price bike thing. How nice of him to share his cake with mommy.

Cycle #10-11 - Met with first RE, diagnosed with heterzygeous MTHFR mutation & slightly low SA on all counts. -BFN, Cycle #12 - First IUI+Trigger - BFN, Cycle #13 - BFN
Cycle #14-15 - Met with new RE, diagnosed with a blocked right tube that previous RE completely overlooked or didnt care to mention. Soy (120mg) - BFN
Cycle #16 - Clomid (100mg) - BFN, Cycle #17 - Clomid (100mg)+Trigger+IUI - BFN
Cycle #18 - Acupuncture+Clomid (100mg) - BFN

Wow what a great idea , twinkle twinkle little star...I wonder who helped you with that idea (I hope you remember I I feel really silly posting that!!!). We'll have a girl version of this birthday all in purple in a month!!! You did amazing and I'm stealing your idea of the hanging stars...I'm thinking glitter...hmm Harrison will LOVE helping me with this.

I digress...back to Matthew! HE is freakin' too cute in his birthday duds! Awesome job all around mama!

I'm glad you were able to have fun for his birthday despite what you've been going thru in your family...HUGS!

Looks like he had a great time!! I love the pics, they are adorable. And look at you getting all crafty! The decorations looked great! I especially liked your happy birthday banner. Very cute!
