Because she's having a hard time pooping and pooting. And she squirms and grunts trying to get it out but it doesnt come out sometimes. Although sometimes she does poop so she's not completely constipated. But she's sooo miserable trying to get it out but it wont come out.

The doc told me to cut out dairy and caffeine for a few days to see how she does since I'm lactose. I drink lactaid milk, but I even have to give that up.

I'm excited though b/c Lani weight 6lb8oz. She was 5lb10oz at her 4 day check up and 5lb11.9oz at birth. I'm exclusively pumping b/c its just too much time to breastfeed and then pump afterwards b/c I'm still full. And plus Lani's latch isnt right. But EP is going good. Its not as hard as I've been reading and I can see how much she's taking in. But I'm so proud that my baby is almost up a lb. But she still cant fit into most of her newborn outfits.

Her 2 week appt has been pushed back to next week to determine whether or not me cutting out those products helps her to poop and poot better.

Aww poor girly. Seamus had pooping problems, he'd only poop once a week and in huge hard balls(EBF too) and ended on meds at 6mo old after trying numerous things, so I feel you on how hard it is to watch them grunt and get upset about it not coming out.

for the gain!!

Oh poor, Lani. I hope her poopers get back in order soon! We had the opposite problem. Jaxon had some much poop that even when I changed him every hour, he still got diaper rash from all the poop.

EP'ing is NOT nearly as hard as people say. I have nearly made it 7 months EP'ing so far, so if you need anything feel free to ask (not that I am an expert though). Be sure to get yourself a hands free pumping bra... it is definitely worth it. In the beginning months before my LO was grasping at things, I would hook up my pump and then feed my LO his BM bottle while he propped up on the boppy pillow on my lap. That way I could do both at one time, which was great.

i hope lil lani is feeling better in no time, and she sure is growing well! and good job with the EP, my SIL is still doing that too & also swears by the handsfree system. she straps it all on and tucks the corners of a baby blanket under the straps and goes about her business.

Thanks ladies. Ironically enuff I think its the grapes that I've been crushing for the past week. Thats the only thing that I've been consistently eating that could interfere with her so I'm going to eliminate that too

Jess I'm off to PM you now.
