Some of you have asked me to update when I go to doctor's appointments so here you go, even though it was pretty uneventful!

First, I had to go for some blood tests. They took EIGHT vials of blood I'm not scared of needles, but I don't like them either and when I saw all those empty vials I couldn't believe she wanted to fill them all. But it went ok, I didn't faint or anything .

After that I had to wait a LONG time for my ultrasound. When I finally got there, I found out it was a vaginal ultrasound (why I thought it would be otherwise, I don't know) and you know that thingy they insert in there? It's big. Like a big dildo and he put a condom on it. Weird.

I didn't expect to be so emotional during the ultrasound itself but I was. I had always imagined my first ultrasound would be to see a little bean. Instead I got to see this big empty uterus. Is it sad that a part of me was hoping I'd see something in there, even though AF is here? Silly me.

Anyways, my uterus is apparently perfect, so that is good. He checked my ovarian reserve and counted follicles and told me I had 10 on each side, which is apparently excellent. He said women my age (32) usually had 14 total on average and I have 20. So everything seems to be good, though it really means nothing if I'm not getting pregnant.

Now I need to schedule the stupid HSG and get Chris to do his S.A. I want this to be over.

I hope you get some answers soon.

I know the feeling about getting so much blood taken it sucks! I was 15 when I first got the dildo cam when I got diagnosed w/ cysts(and had never been with a guy(dh was my first at 18)) so painful and akward feeling.

Thanks for the update Caroline! I know all these test really really suck, but you just gotta go through the process then you'll hopefully get some answers.

Yeah, them sticking a condom on the big dildo is weird, isn't it!! Poor DF just about fainted when I had a vaginal ultrasound. He was like "what the h*ll are they going to do with THAT?!?!" You should have seen the look on his face - it was priceless

Thanks for the update Caroline. I know what you mean about the big dildo looking ultrasound wand with a condom on it.

I hoped that when I went for mine, even though I knew there was no chance I was pregnant.
I hope you get some answers as to why your not getting pregnant soon

I'm glad your appointment went well and that everything appears to be good so far. I hope you can get your HSG scheduled soon and get Chris to do his SA and find out why you aren't pregnant and what it will take to get you pregnant soon!
