Any use the G Diapers (or know someone who has)? And if you have, do you use the flush able liners?
I really enjoy CDing but being in public with a poopy dipe on a hot day makes me nervous. So usually, I change him into a disposable when we go out or have a babysitter. Also we travel alot and a washing machine isn't always readily available. The G Dipes seem like a good solution. I could just wash the covers in the sink if I was away from home for a few days. But if the liners breakdown easy, would they be able to hand the pee?
Also, just a few questions.
Anyone CD but NOT have a diaper sprayer?
I like pocket dipes and have only been using the BumG one size with velcro. Any other brand out there offering the same product?
Where do you like to buy your dipes? Where do you think is the cheapest?

I use BG one size. I sometimes do cloth in public and sometimes disposables. If he poops out in public, I would go shake the poopy into the toilet and flush. You'd still have a bit of poopy on the dipe but at least you'd get most of it off and hopefully it wouldn't smell if you got a good wet bag.
I'm no help on G dipes b/c I've never used them.

I have used the G Diapers. The liners are flushable and if you have a garden, you can use them as compost. I think they're great, except I think they're a bit pricey (at least they are for me, I super cheap!) and the velcro on them curls WAY worse than on the BG and other diapers that use velcro. But they're great for travel. I can't buy them for travel because DH uses them all the time and then I don't have any for travel. So I just suck it up and use cloth when out.
Here's the website: gDiapers - Earth friendly diapers, the new diaper hybrid.
They have a video on there about how to flush the liner. You have to tear down the side and swish the inside around until it's broken down and then flush the outer part of liner right along with the inside, but you have to break down the inside first. Hope this helps you Hun!

I used the g diapers exclusively for quite a few months. I personally didn't like them. Initially I did... but then I had issues. The velcro didn't stay and the elastic in the white liner all broke. Apparently they are only supposed to last for 6 months? ugh. So anyways... I used cloth for the majority. I really disliked using the disposable ones, I would much rather cloth... I found they bunched up like crazy and were just un appealing.
I use Flips right now. They have the option of a disposable liner as well, but I have only tried the organic inserts (which I love). The fit of them are much nicer and they are one size. It only has two parts and I love that. Just the PUL outer and then the insert. They wipe out easily and dry quickly incase of any poop spillage lol. I've heard the disposables are nice as well but like I said, I haven't tried them.
I CD with out a diaper sprayer but I plan on getting one sometime soonish

I own 6 gdipe shells that I won but I've never used them and don't have any liners so I don't have an opinion on that.
If you're looking for something similar to the BG 3., look into nubunz. Lots of girls really like them, and right now they're $8/ea. They had some issues with bad PUL in a batch and are offering those up for $3 each (no inserts) ... and right now their customer service kind of sucks b/c they're so overwhelmed. I have one diaper that lost its elastic and I've been waiting over a week and haven't heard anything back from them... but for $8 its worth it. I love the other 3 I have and will probably order some more.

I second the Nubunz!!! We love ours and I even got the $3 ones and haven't had a PUL issue yet. I'm actually going to order some of the $8 ones to have more velcro (only our BG are velcro) because DH loves that.
As far as the G diapers - I'd look into the Flip as Steph mentioned. I have 2 covers, some inserts and disposable inserts (with the intentions on using them when we travel) but the cover is a little bulky on Nolan right now. The cover is so awesome, nice and stretchy!
Being out and about with cloth isn't so bad - a cute wetbag just gets tossed in the diaper pail and I've never had issues with stink, spillage, leakage or anything and we've done entire day trips with cloth. I've also never used disposables outside of the house (or longer than a week, haha) so I don't know if there is some convenience factor I am missing out on!

I was scared at first to do cloth out and about but it's really not that bad. I just stick it in the wet bag and deal with it later or else get off what I can if possible, then stick it in there.

Yeah as far as out and about I still put her in cloth and its not a big deal, but we aren't working with 'real' poop yet -- so everything just goes in the wash anyway and its no different to put it in the wetbag in my diaper bag or the wetbag at home.
I also forgot to mention that I don't have a diaper sprayer, but since I'm not dealing with 'real' poop yet either, its not a big deal.
and Heather got the link to nubunz, so there ya go!

Do they make disposable liners for other cloth dipes? I guess what seems so appealing to me is that if I go on a trip for a week , then I only need a few covers.
I don't have a sprayer. Okay so you will probably think it's nasty and that's why I want a different routine: I keep an old butter knife in a tooth brush holder behind the toilet and since his poops are always kinda pasty, I scrape it into the toilet with the knife and disinfect it at the end of the day.

I've never used GDiapers
I do not have a sprayer, I use flushable liners and/or plop poo out or try to wipe what I can out. If I have to I use our sink sprayer then bleach the sink and around it.
Theres FuzziBunz diapers(snaps), BG ones, Rump-a-Rooz(snaps), Happy Heiny's(velcro and snaps), Thirsties Duo Diaper and WAHM diapers
I've bought the most from MMB, free shipping
Cloth Diapers, Pocket Cloth Diapers

I used to use the swish stick that came with the g diapers. it comes with a hook for on the toilet tank. Now I use the hook to hold Curtis' potty seat. I just put the whoel diaper in the toilet and hand wash. Yup totally hands on... but I don't care. I've been dealing with alot lol. Then I just disinfect my hands LOL. I couldn't get Curtis "accident" poop undies clean enough, this is the only way I can do that with out a sprayer lol.
Like I said before, Flips also have disposable liners, as well as grobaby's. With the Flips you could use the g diaper disposable liners (here you can buy them in store so i find that more handy).

Oh awesome, I didn't know the G diapers liners work in the Flip - that is great to know, I love how you can buy them in the grocery stores. One less thing to travel with!!!

That's what I do too! Yeah, it's gross, but it doesn't bother me. Now, since the morning sickness, it does but otherwise it's no biggie for me. My DH on the other hand gags everytime he does it. Which is probably why he leaves it for me! I just wish he would tell me sooner instead of waiting until I find the "surprise" when I go to wash the diapers!

I haven't tried them in the flips but I've heard that they work! I'm thinking of doing that this summer while camping. I REALLY like the convenience of just buying them at the store... but like I said I really dislike the gpant/gliner system. MMM FLIPS hehe.
Haha Brandi. My hubby doesn't do dipe changes. He saw me washing a pair of Curtis undies in the toilet and he said "That's how you wash them??? Okay maybe a diaper sprayer is a good idea" hahaha. (Oh and when I say wash I mean rinse hahaha I of course do a full wash system after )
