Alissa is two months old today! We had her checkup and she's getting so big! She's now 9.8lbs so she's gained almost 4 pounds now. Her newborn clothes are now getting mega tight so it's time to get bigger sizes. She's smiling some now, mostly at herself in the mirror, her hanging flower and of course at her brother. The last few weeks have been really tough though, the doctor today confirmed what we was worried about, Alissa is Colic. She cries all day long and if you put her down she will scream, that added with Chris going though the Terrible Twos has made things very hard and stressful. I don't get even a second to myself and sometimes I have to wait for DH to come home just to be able to goto the potty. Chris was colic as a baby and now Alissa, so now DH is starting to not want a third child if we're going to keep having colic babies. We're taking it one day at a time though and hope we'll get lucky and Alissa wont be colic for long, unlike her brother who was colic until he was 6months old. Other than the colic Alissa is doing very well, gaining like she should and everything checked out perfect with the doctor.

Time for the pics!

Trying to catch a smile(She loves her hanging flower)

CUTE!! Im sorry you are having a hard time with colic. DH was a very colicy baby and we are hoping Lilyan isn't...but you just have to take it one day at a time (Im sure that's easier said than done though). Glad everything is going OK though.

OH MY if her and her brother dont look just a like lol.

Lani has been really colicky and I've been giving her gripe water and Mylicon drops. She'll have her moments where she's grunting and crying to no avail trying to pass gas or poop. I just recently switched her bottles to Dr. Browns (on the package it says "clinically proven to reduce colic, gas and spit-ups" and that is working for us so far. She burps after every feeding now and I dont have to give her Mylicon after every feeding.

I cant believe she's 2 months already thought. And 9.8 lbs isnt bad at all!!! What size dipes is she in?

Thanks

We actually thought about getting the Dr Browns bottles but the formula we use is a little thick and makes cleaning bottles really hard and with all them parts the Dr Browns bottles has it would be hard to clean them, plus the are so pricey. We did just get some new drops today to try out, they are only once a day so we'll see how much that helps.

She's only in size 2, they fit very well though, she only just started wearing them a month ago(They was huge on her).

she is so sweet. I'm sorry you are dealing with colic. It is so hard. Matthew would cry much of the time if he wasn't nursing. In his case it was reflux. I hope her colic passes soon!

You have beautiful children.. Love the Mowak picture.. My son had one too, but it got super long and I had to cut it.. lol But I'm going to let it go back out.. Shouldn't take vary long either.. lol

And hang in there.. I was in your shoes when my son was born (still going through it too lol), dealing with the terrible 2's and a newborn is vary challenging. Have you considered trying Probiotics for the Colic?

Probiotics for Infant Health: Using Healthy Bacteria to Heal Your Baby

I use Probitoics to help with my sons eczema..
