DH is always trying to convince me to pick up a camera and start shooting, but I just don't really have any interest to learn. I am kind of competitive, and since DH is a professional wedding photographer, I know I won't be better than him so I just don't really care to learn. haha. Isn't that awful? Anyway, I still take 95% of the pictures of Lily because he's always swamped with work, and so I just take them with our point & shoot. Besides, the few times we've tried to do a 'session' with her, she winds up in a terrible mood not wanting to have her picture taken.
So anyway, yesterday DH & I were looking to kill time and he asked if I'd take some photos of him and the baby. So in the car on the way to our location he explained what ISO, aperture, and shutter speed all do and said he'd just let me play on my own. In the past I've taken pictures of him with the DSLR but its always when he's found all the light and settings so I really just point & click. But yesterday I was supposed to do it all on my own.
I feel like I did a pretty good job. He added some saturation to them in lightroom but this is all basically me --

I think you did a good job and got some nice pictures. My favs are of Ben tossing Lily in the air.
I want a fancy camera but I don't think I'd take the time to learn how to use it.

These are wonderful Shannon!!! Ben is so natural with her! When Edward was born, Chris was sorta awkward with him for a little while. And Lily is SO CUTE!!! These are all so wonderful, I can't pick a favorite. What did Ben think of them? I think they're gorgeous!

You did such a great job! Im STILL contemplating the DSLR I think im just gonna go for it and get it! I just feel like its soooo much to learn. Lily is soooo precious! She looks so much like you i think!

Cycle #1-9 - All Natural....5BFN's, 4BFP's (all ended in miscarriage)  Cycle #10-11 - Met with first RE, diagnosed with heterzygeous MTHFR mutation & slightly low SA on all counts. -BFN, Cycle #12 - First IUI+Trigger - BFN, Cycle #13 - BFN Cycle #14-15 - Met with new RE, diagnosed with a blocked right tube that previous RE completely overlooked or didnt care to mention. There's a lot to learn on a dslr but its soooooo worth it!!! I love the picture of her asleep and you've focused in on her feet. I love them all!
