Ive been on an ice kick he last few weeks. I. Need. It. My midwifes are concerned because it may be signs of being anemic. Anyone else crave ice but not be anemic?? I love ice any way, chocolate milk crushed up with ice, but not all the way, so I can still chomp on the chunks or fill the cup alllll the way full of ice, add a drink and eat the ice afterwards!! Ive always been an ice eater - but never this bad

Someone tell me Im not insane

When I was pregnant with my daughter.. I craved ice ALL THE TIME and a certain type of crushed ice.. Luckily at my work, I knew were to get that certain kind of ice.. lol

I was not anemic.. My co-worker was pregnant with twins at the same time as me and she craved ice too.. She too liked that certain type of ice.. lol

Craving ice is a sign of low iron...I would much rather crave ice than sweets like I am right now!

Towards the end of my pregnancy I was drinking water with lots of ice in it. I liked chomping on it.

No ice cravings here.

Are they going to check your iron?

I've heard before that chomping on ice means you are sex deprived.

I do agree that craving ice means that there's an iron deficiency. But when I was prego, I loved ice, but only the ice from the fridge at my job.Something about the texture and how easy it was to bite.

I'm on iron supplements but never craved ice. What the heck do you crave ice for if you are low on iron?? It's not like there is iron in ice.

I just always thought it was frozen water? I doubt my iron is low, because Ive had an ice facination since I was a little girl - I just love the texture and...well...the ice!!

I crave and eat ice all the time and I did during pregnancy too but I've never been diagnosed with anemia.
