So I was all happy about getting to TTC#2 and now I don't know. DH never listens to me and this time he didnt listen to me and now our son has a massive double ear infection cause of him!!!!!
J.J had been put on soy formula back in february to help his congestion. His congestion went away on the soy and with the chiropractor we have had zero ear infections.
Well 2 weeks ago when we got the acid reflux diagnosis, DH wanted to switch J.J back to the regular similac. I told him no. Of course DH did not listen and his argument for it was cause sometimes when J.J is sleeping and takes his bottle, he vomits it all up. So, DH switches him back to the regular formula, and his congestion gets worse. I told him he needs to be back on soy and he kept saying no, no, no. I of course was still giving him soy. His congestion ended up blocking his ears from properly draining, and now he has a massive double ear infection with puss this time. PUSS!!!
I am beyond angry with DH!!!! LIVID!!! My poor little man is sick, I have to take off work tomorrow now and my poor guy is so miserable with a 102.5 fever.
The doctor confirmed that the regular formula caused the congestion which cause the ear infection. She said in another month we can make the switch off formula to regular milk.
Thats it! I am putting my foot down more when it comes to J.J!!! I am tired of being bombarded by DH! I just wanna smack him so hard right now!!!!
And of course my mother calls me once she reads my FB status about it and asks me if i took him to his ped and i said yes because I have not found a new one yet and she starts yelling at me for not finding a new one!! EXCUSE ME for having crappy health insurance, and not having the luxury of being picky with my sons doctor. Finding one who is ok with delaying vaccines is HARD!!! Although I did find one.. she is listed in Dr Sear's book. She is a bit far, but i am willing to make the trek if necessary.
/end rant. Thanks for reading if you got this far.

Wow.. I'm so sorry.. Sometimes it's hard for men to understand.. You need to tell him that if he's going to switch, he needs to tell you.. Since it's not good for him to be on two different formulas. I can just imagine his poor little belly..
I feel your pain with the ear infection.. My son has had 4 ear infections that past 3 months.. One more, he'll more then likely get tubes.. Which I know it would help, but we don't need anymore hospital bills..
I'm also sorry your Ped doesn't support you with delaying vaccinations.. My Ped was vary supportive when I told him I didn't want to give A.J is 6 month vaccinations because at that time he had a ear infection and a cold.. At his 3 month check up, they told me it would be okay and 3 days later my son was in the hospital.. I know there isn't a link, but I wanted to be safe.. My Ped laughed when I told him, I would rather pay another $25 co-pay, then another $1,000 hospital bill.. lol

Our current ped is supportive of vaccine delaying and holistic care, but, after the misdiagnosis of not diagnosing acid reflux for 9 months, i decided its time for someone else.
Our ENT told us she does not recommend tubes for kids under 12 months so we're holding off till next winter. Things were going FINE until DH decided to make a switch. UGH MEN!!!

It's not my fault at all. I put my foot down last night so now, J.J is back on soy and *gasp* not congested and feeling 100% better from yesterday. Amazing.....
