Thought I would join Jenn and Heather with an update. Most of you are on FB, so I guess its not really an update.
Went in for his 6 mo checkup yesterday, at 7.5 months old. Jaxon is now 16.5 lbs (20th) and 28.3 inches (60th). I actually thought he was closer to 20 lbs, or at least that's what my back thinks, lol. His motor skills are all caught up with his actual age. He had been pulling on his ears, but no sign of an ear infection. So far he has never been sick once. Got his 3rd set vaccines, so he are all done with those for awhile.
We talked a lot about nutrition, and the pedi said everything that I had read/researched myself in the new literature about no need to delay potentially allergenic foods. He said is it okay to give fish, eggs, dairy, cows milk, berries and citrus right now. The only one to wait on is the nuts. This is a good thing because his favorite food appears to be salmon!
Other than that he is a wonderfully happy boy. Has STTN since 6 months old. I am still pumping away so he is technically still bf. Since being on solids, he has dropped his BM intake from 30 oz to 20 oz or so, which I am able to keep up with. Thats all for now
Pics posted on FB. Will post a couple here.

I'm glad to hear he is doing so well! He's just barely older than Xander, so I always love updates because it gives me a little glimpse of what's to come.

He is so adorable and is getting big! The pic of the two of you is cute. Are you supplementing with any formula yet? It sounds like the pumping is still going well. Do you think you will make it to 1 yr?

he's so cute, I love the one with you where he's grabbing his foot.
Matthew always pulls on his ears and he has never had an ear infection.

Still not supplementing with formula. I did briefly right around 6 months, for about a week because my supply was low, but since then we haven't needed to. Right now I don't really have an end goal in mind. I just sort of take it day by day. I am hoping to get a part-time job in the near future, so I might (or might not, haha) stop if that happens.

I love Jaxon pics!! He is so cute! Great playpen you have there.
That is interesting what the pedi said. I've heard from other moms on here to delay certain foods, but never looked into it myself. I know my mother gave us pretty much everything by the time we reached one.
Glad to hear you are still pumping! Last I remember, you thought you were losing your supply. You've reached your 6 month goal which is amazing! That is why your little boy is so healthy!
Great update. How are things with work going for you? I can't remember if you went back or if you get one of those forever long, luxurious European mat leaves!
