Everyone is concerned that Ill go into labor while Im driving. Like labor will come on and all of the sudden, and Im unable to drive. which isnt humanly possible unless Ive had contractions and not known it and all of the sudden my water breaks and her head is crowing all on I-5 and in the middle of rush hour I HIGHLY doubt this scenario No one has cared that Ive been the primary driver till yesterday. which is when I hit 40 weeks. My landlord (also my 2nd mom) was like "shes not allowed to drive, Beth, please dont drive..." what gives?? Im going to the fluffy store, to my midwife appt, then to go pick up my kids....I think I can handle about 4 hours of being out on my own!! Anyone else had vehicle nazi's when they were pregnant?!?!

Hmm nope. The only reason I am riding with someone else the past 2 days is because my car is conveniently in the shop.
that is kind of funny though!

I drove myself to the beach at 38 weeks pregnant alone. I also was out a lot around 39 weeks pregnant. My mom was the only one who was like "don't drive far!!!" and I was thinking to myself, I can always dial 911 in an emergency -- it's not like theres no help out there for me lol

Its not the same, But I wasnt allowed to stop in my own home on my own after I got to 30 wks because I was told if my waters broke Mia would come flying out and because I had Polyhydromniosis I was told I could go into labour at any moment.

I worked up until my due date so I was driving to and from work each day. I also drove by myself past my due date. No one said anything to me that I remember.

Yup, I drove 30 miles to and from work up till a couple days before I went into labor. Nobody said anything about it. I was like 38w6d I think so I don't know if anyone would have said anything if I had reached my due date.

when i was preggers w/ abby, dh didn't want me driving past around 38 weeks or so. he even sent fil to my house when i was around 39 weeks to keep an eye on me, and that drove me crazy!!! (of course, i did drive when i was alone...i'd go on errands and such because i was completely bored out of my gourd.)
i had planned to drive up till my c-sec. date when pregnant w/ joshie, but he came early, so i think i drove up till a couple of days before i had him (he was 37 wks. 2 days).

I didn't have my licence with the boys so I wasn't able to drive alone anyways. I would have been adviced against it because it was against the law haha.
I think I would drive around town but I wouldn't go far. So far my water has broke spontaneously with both boys, although there was a lull after so I think I would be able to get some where I needed to be. My labors are quick when they start and I wouldn't want to be in a bad position. I'd prob stick around town, around James' work and places where I would get help... I wouldn't want to be stuck in highway traffic though!!!

No one said anything to me....I drove myself to the hospital (granted I wasn't planning to stay there and have a baby but still its funny to think about now!) the day I went into labor with Nora....I think you're going to be okay....
However, I would love to read your birth story if you had Izzie in rush hour traffic on the side of the road!!! HA ROTFL!!!!

Even drove to the mall and walked and drove into DC and waslked around and ate at a nice restaurants.

I'm still working so I drive to work, but DH doesn't like for me to drive anywhere else by myself if he can help it. He's so silly.

I drove myself right up to 38w1d. I had Amara at 38w3d and the only reason I didn't drive at 38w2d was because that's the day I started to get the real contractions and lost my mucus plug.

I worked 10 hour shifts on my feet the day before I delivered (with both kids).. So, driving was no problem for me.. And I could put my then 1 year old in her car seat in the back of my honda civic coupe.. lol

Umm, I had NO choice, I even drove myself to the hospital when I was in labor. Although I got the same thing about driving. My mom used to panic when I was 45 minutes away shopping a week before my due date. I was like, if I start having contractions I know enough to drive home, I'll be okay! In all reality, there is always a hospital close enough to get to if you reallly needed to. I have to admit, I did avoid anywhere far away from people though!

I drove myself right up to the end! In fact, the day that I went into labor I had plans to meet up with a friend 45 mins away to buy a lens for my camera. I had to send him a text at like 5am telling him I couldn't make it because I was having a baby that day
