I am selling a camera lens. Someone saw my add and emailed me this:

"I am interested in purchase it if you are ready to sell for me, So please let me know the present condition, with some other pictures, am buying it for my son schooling in NIGERIA as a Birthday Gift. I will offer you $600 for the payment, including shipping cost of the item to my son in Nigeria. This item is to be shipped directly from you to my son address at abroad via Express Mail International (EMS) at the post office. My mode of payment is PayPal.Kindly close the AD on Craiglist and get back to me with your paypal email account details so i can make the payment asap. Hope to read from you soon.

Regards."

Scam? Phishy? I really didnt want paypal but $600 is about the price of the lens in the store, and it is a practically brand new lens....what to doooo....??

I had another guy send me this:

Thanks for the prompt response and I have taken a close look at the advert and am completely satisfied and okay with the price and the condition, and also i will like to make an outright instant purchase of this particular item, but i will need your honest because I ought to come for the viewing but due to my tight schedule, but I anticipate that a certified cashier's check will be over night to you via ups as the mode of payment.

You don't need to bother yourself with the shipment, I will take care of the that myself. My mover will come for the pick up at your location upon your confirmation of receiving the payment and cleared in your bank, so please do withdraw the advert from Craigslist so that I can be rest assured that am in hand of the item because I don't mind adding an extra $10 dollars for you to take the advert down from criagslist. So I will need you to provide me with the below following information to facilitate the mailing of the payment..

1...Your Full names
2...Your Residential home address
3...City, State & zip code
4...And Your Tel#

As soon as the needed information is provided to me, I will inform you when the payment is mailed out to you and I will update you on when you will receive it and give you instructions on what to do. Hope you assure me in hand of the item ?, and I hope we handle this in good faith..

Thanks while waiting to hear from you, I hope we handle this in good faith..."

Yeah no thanks
