Me and all the kids have awful colds--just another curtousy of my MIL. I have zero voice left but the boys are on the mend. I've been through a few colds with them so its nothing new but it breaks my heart that Lila has it. How fair is it that she's only been on this planet for 2 months and she's already sick! She is so congested and coughing like crazy (though you'd never know it because she's still just as smiley as ever). I've been running the shower to fill the bathroom with steam and holding her in there for a bit and that seems to help some but is there anything else I could be doing to help her out? These are the things I should write down because I don't remember from when Liam was a baby and got a cold.

Yes I do have one, just located it about an hour ago! I'll try and use it on her when she wakes up from her nap.

Awww I'm sorry you guys are so sick.
Personally, I would use saline drops to help clear her out more than the aspirator. That can irritate her nasal passages and make it even worse. I've never even used ours - part of me is terrified of it!

Yeah, I tried to use it but its too big for her nostrils and I certainly don't want to force it and hurt her. I remember having that problem when the boys were babies and not being able to use it til they were at least 6 months or so.
Now I have to locate my saline drops! I should really be more organized. lol

Lila scared me last night. She started a coughing fit that just kept getting worse and wasn't letting up and then she couldn't breathe and started choking on mucous. We had found the smaller nasal aspirater before bed, just in case, and I'm so glad we had it. I sucked out so much thick yellow snot from her nose and she was so much better after that. I had to do it again at about 5am. She's still just all smiles this morning even though I know she feels like garbage, I feel so bad for her.
