annnnd I am running into problems.

I would wanna do it with my August cycle (to be due at the end of May), which would mean, my FET would be when I am out of town (Labor day weekend). I am gone the 3rd-6th. My AF would be around the 14th/15th and FET is 5 days post ovulation.

I don't wanna wait till my September cycle because then I'd end up with another July baby and I don't want a second July baby. Nor do I want an August baby cause I don't wanna be preggers in the summer.

annnnnnd I can't do a July cycle cause my labor day weekend is usually full of drinking and going away and not drinking and being sick would not be fun.

*sigh*

So now what? *sigh* The only other possible option is to manipulate my AF with Lupron/BCPs in July/August in order to alter my August AF so that the transfer could be when I got back. Guess i am gonna have to chat with my RE about this. We have our consultation in June. (He needs look for polyps again with a water sono -- i am afraid my endo came back already).

Any ideas or thoughts?

ETA: We can't have a July/August baby cause we are moving at the end of July 2011. So it's gotta be May/June. (or later but we don't wanna switch midwives)

If you can alter when your AF comes without any problems, then that seems like the best solution. If not, if it were me I'd just give up my Labor day weekend trip so to get the cycle you need. It stinks to give up something like that, but if you can't change your AF dates, then you have to decide how important it is to you to try and have a baby at the time you want.

I'm wondering when/if my AF will show...depending on when mine is I might be out of town when Dh and I need to BD.

When we become parents we sacrifice so much for our children, giving up a weekend of drinking seems like a drop in the ocean to me.

I have no clue but I'm sure it will work out. There's no guarantee it will 'take' first try anyway, so your timing may not work out no matter how well you plan it. I would probably just skip the labor day weekend festivities.

btw, did your husband take that job at Harvard?

I agree with Shannon and Kate, it's just one weekend KWIM? At least another little munchkin would be on the way, that's even better I'll be 23 this year and have yet to have a legal drink because I've been pregnant since I was 19 or BF

I can't give up the weekend cause its already paid for (hotel and airfaire) so losing 500 dollars is not an option. Not to mention its the only time i get to see my friends since they all live outta town. Its literally the only time i see my friends.

As for Harvard, we won't know anything about jobs till the spring time.

DH thinks altering AF would be the best plan with the least financial consequence. So that's probably what we will do

I'm confused. Aren't you TTC naturally right now anyway? If you get preggers without MA then you'd have to not drink that weekend anyway. Nothing says if you get pregnant before Labor Day that you can't still go on the trip, you just wouldn't be able to drink.

Sounds like you and Joe decided what was best for the two of you and I hope it all works out the way you want it to.

You dont have to not go on the trip and be out the money...just not drink.

We go to the lake EVERY single memorial day weekend, and its literally one big drunken weekend. When this cycle started I know I would be in the later part of my 2WW on memorial day weekend, and I still wanted to TTC and not miss out on a month. It was an easy decision. Still going...just not drinking. And I think DH is gonna be nice and not drink/barely drink at all so im not all alone

I think the issue is that her actual transfer would be during the weekend? Like when they put the embryo in.

Yeah, I understand why she wouldn't be able to do the Sept cycle - she'll be out of town. I was addressing her reasons for skipping the July cycle.

Ah yes and DH says July is "too soon" (cause then we'd have a baby in March/April or so, and he'll be knee deep into finishing his dissertation then) :-p Mind you this comes from the man who says we can TTC naturally, but he and I both know his sperm count is nearly non-existent to knock me up. I think he just said ok so we can have more sex

My transfer time would be when I would be away. Would be somewhere from Friday-Sunday, which is when I'd be away. I spoke with my RE this afternoon who said he has no problem putting me on BCP's with my July cycle to alter my August cycle. We are aiming to start AF around August 26/27/28th. He said he needs me around on CD 3, and then CD 12, 14, 16, 18 to confirm ovulation. We're gonna talk about it more next month, but it looks like we are gonna do a natural FET with minimal progesterone support He does wanna do a water sono first though
