If it wernt for the fact that I am getting my membranes stripped today...Im fine with it LOL I am very agitated, and REALLY ready to get this show on the road...but Im loving this pregnancy! Shes such a good baby, and hasent ONCE sat on my hips or sciatic nerve wrong. Shes quiet when Im sleepy, and active when Im trying to walk around LOL (in fact both girls tried crawling out through my belly button to get out while I walked!)
I wanted to ask a question though - do you think stripping the membranes while being a week overdue is better than getting it done at 39 weeks? Im just REALLY hoping it helps...REALLY trying to not get my hopes up!!

I got my membranes stripped with both Lochlann and Lila. Lochlann was 39 weeks 6 days and Lila was 39 weeks 4 days. With Lochlann I went into labor 13 hours later and he was born a little over 6 hours after that. With Lila I went into labor about 10 hours later and she was born about an hour and a half after that.
So it's worked for me both times, extremely well too! I hope it works just as well for you!!!

i think its one of those things that is 50/50, which are really great odds when u think about it! my SIL had her membranes swept and it didnt do anything, but acupuncture got her labour going about 24 hrs after she had it done.....she was 10 days overdue
awwwwwwww i have such fond memories of her being overdue, and us raking like 20 bags of leaves in an effort to get labour going lol

She is just too comfortable in there! I hope she comes soon (well, I guess no matter what, it will be soon, lol). I'm pretty sure the membrane sweep can't hurt anything, but hopefully it jump starts things for you.

I was a week late with Ian, but had pre E signs so they evicted him. Had I been left alone that kid would have been over 10lbs!!!
I may seen calm and patient on the surface...but Ive cried many nights wishing she would just come already, hubby just laughs as he rubs my belly

Ah ok Im sorry I thought you guys read my FB LOL!! It went better than expected. She was able to feel baby's head through the uterin wall before even getting to my cervix, so shes SUPER low and in place. She said I was 1 1/2 cm but could stretch me to a 2. Stripped my membranes and never once had a bloody show. Not sure if this is a good thing or not? Anywho, been MIIIIILDLY crampy with the tightening BH/Contractions - not enough to notice unless your paying attention. Drank my 2 cups of RRL tea and will have sex tonight just for kicks. Since Bella is low, and cervix is open, were just waiting on my body to respond!! Makes me fell a hellova lot better knowing Im doing this on my own vs being taken in for an induction! Shes moving around alot, so not sure if that means anything. Probably is trying to find a comfy spot again since we messed with her pillow
AAAAND there is a full moon tomorrow - so well see
