My
PR has some really outstanding women in it. A few months ago, one of our members lost her husband in a tragic motorcycle accident. We rallied around her and raised nearly $1,000 among us to help with any costs she may incur.
We are currently raising money for one of our other mamas, Steph. She had preemie twins and has been waiting 6.5 months to bring one of them home to join her sister. This mama has been driving hours each day back and forth to be with her daughter Rylan (Dakota has been home with her) and is just a real trooper. Steph has been fighting with the insurance company as they are refusing to pay for the home health care nurse (which is necessary for Rylan's ventilator and feedings, etc) as well as paying the $3,500 ambulance ride home - that the hospital is requiring. Anyway, so we are doing a fundraiser to raise money to give to Steph to help out ... and I just looked on the website and Michelle, the mama I mentioned earlier who lost her husband - just donated $950 and left a comment saying

When my husband, Dave, died in March, the ladies of the JM January 2010 playroom rallied and raised money for me. It was a really tough time and I'm grateful for their support when I needed it most. Now that my insurance situation is sorted out, I wanted to pass on their kindness to another very deserving woman.

Anyway, I just wanted to share because I thought it was really touching.
