omg.... the shrieking from his whining drives me insane!

Anytime he can't grab something/reach something/open something/move something/Push something/get what he wants -- He whines. And its not just a cute whine. Its a high pitched cover-your-ears whine.

When does this end? Someone please tell me soon

Not to be a downer but it gets worse. Landen has atleast 3 tantrums a day, then whines the rest of it.

Oh Sam, it only gets worse. MUCH worse. It's mild at JJ's age. Oliver whines, cries, screams for everything I won't give him. It drives me nutty and my patience runs THIN each day.

LOL Shannon!!!

I've taken to saying a short sharp, "shh" and saying "listen to mummy". It makes her stop and listen, and I explain why she can't have blah or if it's because she doesn't want to come get her nappy changed, I'll tell her "nappy first, then toys", or whatever it is... I explain this first, then we'll go do that after. It usually helps (for 10 minutes )

My boys still do this. Liam not as often as Lochy but still probably a few times a week. I was a horrendous whiner as a child and I know I did it forever...I still whine to Ian.

Amara is starting the crying and stamping phase when she can't have something. I try to chat with her, sing or distract her with something. It works sometime and other times it doesn't.
