Hey ladies! Well you all know Isabella is here Shes perfect! HUGE but perfect I wanted to let you know of some details that I didnt post on FB (and please dont say anything, just keep them in here) I had a ruptured uterus, dont know how long for, before even going in for the c-section. Had I not called it quits on wednesday, Isabella and I could have died. There was no blood around the rupture site, so god only knows how long it had been there. None of my ultrasounds picked it up, which kinda amazed me. Had I gone into labor and my water had broken, she could have ended up in my adomin, causing her MAJOR issues (death was even mentioned as a risk of that happening) And of course issues for me. So with that said - we had a higher power looking over us the entire time I was complaining about being late - how scary!

Ive also had sorta low plaitlets this entire pregnancy...wasnt told about this...not sure how important it is but still kinda irks me that I was told about it now vs in the beginning of my pregnancy.

So now Im anemic as well. My level this morning was 27, and transfusion rate is 20. *smacks head against wall* The normal rate is 45, so its going to take a few months to get my levels back up to where they need.

My OB who called me after hours to "harrass" me is on call this weekend. Ive forgiven him, and the poor guy was scared to come into my room thinking I was mad at him (and I thought he was mad at me) turns out he still wants to take me back on as a patient if I dont/cant stick with my midwife for yearly visits from here on out.

ok well Im falling asleep as I type, so adiose, and ill post some pics after lunch1

After they cut through the muscles, all that was left was my uterus wall to cut through, as they pulled back the muscles, she saw that there was a hole about 4x4 (inches) and she could see Isabella's head through the amniotic sac!! Shes not sure what caused it, other than she has advised me not to have anymore children, since I could rupture even earlier and loose both baby and me. So thank GOD this was our last!!! ok well Bellas awake and I got kiddos here to smooch on me - Ill update pics later (step mom is here to take kids home and take the laptop with her )

Wow, what an experience!!

I have to ask just for curiosity purposes because I have zero knowledge of uterine rupture or anything...but in all the birth stories I've read (I read a lot of VBAC natural birth stories because I figured if THEY could do it, I could totally do it) and in a few of them the uterus did rupture and they knew immediately when it happened. Did you not have any bleeding or feel any pain?? That is just amazing to me! Especially if it was such a complete tear like that - not even just a dehiscence, which I read about happening too. So yours was a complete tear and not a dehiscence? That is incredible!! What a crazy entrance into the world!

the only thing I can think of was that burning pain @ about 36 weeks that neither me or the midwife could figure out. But 39-42 weeks I had nothing! Im going to ask my OB about this tomorrow. My :rupture window" was completely open, as she pulled the muscles away she could see the babys head through the hole and the amniotic sac was the only think keeping Bella from coming through. She said she didnt even have to use a knife to cut the rest open, it just tore apart. I felt nothing! It amazes me too. I amazed all that are on her team too - theyve never seen anything like it! god now makes me feel like a super freak....wait I could make millions!!

Oh my goodness. Well I am so glad that you and baby girl Bella is healthy and safe. I hope your blood levels (is that right?) get higher and in a safer range soon.

omg, that is CRAZY they did not detect that on ultrasounds. A 4" hole is not small. Glad you are okay and so glad that you agreed to the c/s. Were they able to repair the defect?
