I forgot to tell you girls that I got my engagement ring on the weekend!! It's one we looked at a couple of months ago but it was a little more expensive than what we wanted to spend. When we were away at DF's sisters, the shop that was selling it was having a big sale, so we dropped in, hoping that ring would be on special - and it was!!

It's currently being resized and we will collect it on Sunday. I'm not allowed it until DF 'asks' my parents for my hand in marrage, then he's going to 'propose' to me sometime. I'm like "I've already seen the ring, I wanna wear it NOW!!" But he won't let me!!

It's just a simple white gold band with one diamond on it (I have skinny fingers and anything big or with a lot of diamonds looked too big on my hand!). The wedding band is just a white gold band with nothing else on it. Very simple - love it!!

Will post some pic's if I can sneak it from DF when we pick it up!

Your engagement ring sounds exactly like mine & my DH got it that way cuz i have tiny hands! u are definitely my kiwi clone. thats kinda cute that ur df won't let you wear it cause he wants to get permission and properly propose i bet he will suprise you even though you know its coming!
