I think my 7 week old baby is trying to crawl. She does this often and at first I thought that it wasnt intentional, but whenever she moves her legs and realize she has something she can push her feet/toes off of, she pushes away with her feet. Then she'll stop and take a break and then she'll go at it again.

Is she really trying to crawl? I'm not ready for all of that yet, seriously, I'm not ready. I knew nobody would believe me so I had to get it on video. Her father was trying to convince me a week or so ago that she was trying to crawl but I refused to believe it b/c I mean, she's not even teething yet! Please tell me I'm just crazy.

WDYT?

Most babies start to scoot but some do it at different ages. If they see something of interest they tend to try and get there themselves LoL. She's so cute

OK WHEW!!! I'm definitely not ready for that yet!!!

She doesnt even see anything, she just does it sometimes when I lay her on her belly. I refused to believe she was crawling but wanted opinions of those who are familiar with newborn progress.

I think it is just instinctual. Nolan now holds his head up and pumps his little legs and looks at me and just yells at the top of his lungs. I think he is mad he can't go forward yet.

yeah she's "swimming" hehe. so cute! she'll progess from that to pushing up more with her head/arms and then kind of getting one leg propped to push to roll over... and before you know it she'll be army crawling!

LOL Heather!!!!

I dont even want to think about crawling. I want her to stay like how she is (size, weight and all) FOREVER!!! Okay at least for another year or so.

She'll be moving earlier than others I think, but you still have a few months before she really gets moving...she has that instinct and it appears the strength! What out momma!!! So cute!

I think you'll probably have an early mover on your hands... she seems to be really wanting to be mobile. Funny because my baby seems very content to stay in one place for the most part. He's met his head/chest raising, rolling and sitting milestones but just doesn't seem that interested in putting those skills to work. Lani looks like she's raring to go!! She is so adorable and I love that diaper butt.
