ahhhhhhhhh i love my midwives! i'm feeling super emotional about this whole thing, and despite being really tired and having the odd bit of indigestion and boob pain i really don't even feel pregnant. my midwives seem so great, they took blood tests right there and i should get results back from my HCG test tomorrow.... they are also arranging a 7 week viability ultrasound for me, and i will go in and see them after that in around 3 weeks.

So glad it went well and you liked them! They are like super close to you right???
I know we don't see midwives but the doctors we see we are SO in love with and it really makes the WHOLE experience SO much better
And the beginning of pregnancy sucks!!! You never feel real pregnant, unless you're puking 24/7 and then you wish you weren't feeling pregnant at all! hehe.
Sounds like everything is going well!

yep - they are about a 10 min bike ride (and i bike really slow!). the office seemed really friendly and everyone was so nice.
i have a 'student' working with my midwife, but she's actually not really even a student. she will be a full fledged non-student midwife two weeks after my due date, so she's just working on getting her hours to finish the program now. i thought she seemed really knowledgable and competent. my primary midwife is very special too! posted why on FB, don't want to on here cuz it is very identifying. you know me im paranoid.

Indigestion was really my only symptom until 12wks. I spotted brown/pink for 3wks after my BFP so the indigestion, altho horrible, was quite reassuring. Just eat what you feel like eating for now
Glad you love the MWs!!

When I went, they had a big flat screen TV up on the wall so I could see everything... not nice when they tell you something is wrong coz it's literally right there in your face!
At the CVS, there was also a little TV for us to see, but I couldn't bring myself to watch it...

wow, thats crazy how different it is here. it was all so secretive and they didnt want me seeing anything. i even asked and they said no! that really pissed me off
yeah they might want to shut off the big screen until they can determine it's a healthy bean and then turn it on if you decide you want to see.....thats crazy

Yeah, I think they need to just listen to the couple - if you had asked to see what was going on, they should have shown you. Even if it was bad news. It's your body after all!!
If everything is healthy, they should give you some photos at least. I still carry around the photos from my first baby I also have some photos from our u/s a couple of weeks ago, but it just looks like a blurry, fuzzy blob to me. My work mate even said my baby looked like a little space invader creature!! Then he asked what the thing was sticking out, and I said 'his p*nis'... my work mate thought that was so funny! (I had no idea what it was - some limb forming I guess!? lol!)
