i am so freaking hungry right now. i'm eating a bowl of cereal & drinking my water, in hopes that it will pass. i gained weight after i stopped bfing/pumping back in feb., and dh and i have made some healthier lifestyle changes. i'm happy about the results we are seeing, but right now i feel like i could eat a horse!

did anyone else gain weight after being done w/ bfing? i never did w/ abby; i went back down to my wedding weight after i had her!

I did! I was in the process of losing it when we decided to TTC Seth and I had finally gotten to 140 but now I'll have to do it all over again

and I did gain a bit after weaning.....been hard to keep it off too, but I munch on bulk like carrot sticks and make sure I get good, lean sources of protein.

I don't know what kind of diet plan you are following, but I have always heard the best way to lose weight and be healthy is to eat lots of small, healthy snacks and never let yourself go hungy. Keeping something in your belly like that jumpstarts your metabolism, so I understand.

I've never had a child wean before getting pregnant again so I don't know about fully stopping and weight gain. But, my weight always seems to creep back up once solids play more of a roll. Now that I know this I'm going to take steps to make sure it doesn't happen again by making smarter food choices and exercising more.

I agree though that several small meals a day is best and good for you for making healthier choices!

thanks for the support. i have always been into snacks and small meals. i'm just trying to do less sugar and fat and smaller portions as well as exercise. i don't need to lose too much, just maybe 2 or 3 more pounds, but i don't want to go back to my old habits. i am still plenty irritated by my stomach, but even when i was at my pre-preggo weight it still looked like i was a couple of months along so i can't really expect that to go away.

i guess i'm like dh...we have plenty of healthy things we can eat if we get hungry; idk if it's guilt or what that makes us not want to eat. i also don't want to be eating after 7 p.m. if possible, and it was like 7:30, i think, when i started this thread.
