I hate those disposable swim diapers, they gross me out and I hate taking a wet one (or worse) off a wet baby. So I want to get one or two cloth swim diapers for Lila for the summer. Anyone have any good recommendations?

most people I know just use a pocket diaper without the insert in it. london has a gymboree swimsuit that has a liner inside to catch any poop (since pee is going in the pool no matter what! LOL).

Last year I bought a bummis swim bottom. He never pooped while in it so I'm not sure how well it contains poop. This year I'm just using his bathing suits with the liner in it like Angela is doing. My kid never poops anyways.

I plan on using an empty pocket diaper...but how much does a swim diaper hold in EBF poo if they are in the water?

I have an imse vimse swim dipe and she has had EBF poop 3 times and it hasn't leaked.
I got it with credits from FG, but otherwise I'd just buy one of the $3 seconds w/ no inserts from nubunz to use as a swim dipe.

I have a Bummis Swim Diaper, but he hasn't pooped in it yet. I hope between that and his swim trunks with the netting that any poop will be contained. I'm confident most of his poops will be, but if he has a softer poop I do worry... Guess we'll see at some point!

Matthew's trunks have a built in liner. If he had EBF poo, I might worry about getting a "real" swim diaper, since one pair of trunks just has netting and not a solid liner. But his poops are really solid so it's not a problem. I don't see him pooping in the pool though, he doesn't really poop when there's a lot of stuff going on.
For those times when he is in his swim trunks but not in the pool (and obviously I don't want him peeing on the floor) then I stick a doubler or two in his trunks to catch any pee till we get into the pool. Then just take them out before he goes in the water.

I have an iplay one also. I love it, but it hasn't been tested with poop yet. It is a little loose on her so I keep her regular diposable diaper on under it. So really it is just holding up her giant wet diaper. I am super paranoid of the pool being evacuated on our behalf

I remember having to leave the kiddie pool because of a baby's diaper leaking. Not much you can do though! I mean EBF poops are SO runny! She was SOOOO embarressed but I don't think anyone held it against her
I haven't gotten any yet. We are going to be hitting up the lake during camping next month so I need to figure something out. Might just use my two apple cheek pocket diapers.. or buy a swim diaper. I don't have much for pocket diapers.
