He was so weak and frail, has dropped loads of weight, wouldn't eat or drink anything, tried to puke and couldn't.....just bad. He was very dehydrated, has a bad upper respiratory infection and had a high fever  they gave him fluids under his skin, gave him a shot of antibiotics that will last 2wks, and a shot of steriods to held too. Poor baby!

yikes!! I had a mouse who had hypothermia once, and dad refused to take him to the vet  Now I see why but when your in that situation, anything sounds plausible!! hope the kitty feels better soon!!

Yep  Give it another day or so. He still can't smell so what you wanna do is feed him the smelliest nasty wet food possible. Even a can of tuna if needed :-)

Yeah a friend of mine suggested tuna....bleck I hate the smell of it ! it makes me sick. So canned chicken was the next best thing. he are really REALLY good just now! he has booboo's though from fighting with a different kitty I bet he doesn't run off again!

nope but i'm wondering. If he isn't better in a day or two I'm gonna take him to our regular vet and have him tested. At the ER it was a $50 test! I had another kitty who had FIV and she was real lazy acting too......more so than most cats.
