We did it! I finally took her to get her ears pierced. I've been meaning to for a while, but I just felt like she was too tiny for it. It's a cultural tradition for DH and I had mine done as a baby as well. But now that she is getting more interesting in touching things, I figured I better get it done before she discovers her ears.
Anyhow, I took her to a tattoo/piercing place. I wanted her to get it done with a needle, not the gun. They were so knowledgable and professional about it. I felt very at ease. So did she. By the time we got to the car, she was over it and laughing again. They gave me a sterile sea salt spray to put on them and so far there hasnt been a hint of reddness, irritation, or drainage.
It is super hard to get a pic of them since she is so squirmy (and I have the crappiest camera ever made).

Very cute!
I hope Kieran asks to get hers done when shes older, though she may have the same ear issues as me. I had mine done when I was 6mo old, but dh didn't want to put her through that or have ear problems like me so we never got hers done. I think its cute to see the little twinkle of the earrings.

That is how old Jenna is, 4.5 months. I thought it was perfect timing for her. If I waited much longer I think she would be touching them. Girlfriend's hands are in her mouth 95% of the time she is awake now...it is just a matter of time before she discovers she has ears.

I am also. I had mine done as a baby at the Drs office. But back then the Drs used needles. Now most Drs office don't offer it and the ones that do use a gun! Plus I don't think they do them all that often. I'd rather go to someone that does it for a living. I figure if someone can pierce 'down there' with accuracy and has multiple piercing on their own body, they know what they are doing!

Im soooo glad you went to a shop to get them done!! Morgan's were done with gun's but it was more convenience for me than anything - Bella's will be done at a piercing shop. How much did they charge you?

$30. But you have to bring your own earrings. Unless of course you don't mind putting a skull and crossbones bar bell in
