I don't think i even put up an MIA, but I was in the Adirondaks this weekend with DH and a bunch of friends. It was kinda surreal, as this was the exact same weekend as last year. Last year on father's day, I found out i was pregnant with Sora in the little cabin bathroom. And now I was back, on fathers day, with a 24 week pregnant belly. Kinda strange. Anyhow, the trip was great. We had a lot of fun.

The first full day, I did something not smart. I climbed this mountain.

It's a small mountain, only 3,000 feet. But it felt like a monster. This one is called Catamount. A very rocky almost vertical trail that i climbed a lot on my hands and knees, and once we got high enough, it was just sheer rock that we were climbing up. I did not make it too the top, as i was convinced i was having braxton hicks (turned out to be a pulled lower ab muscle) but i did make it to the second summit. This is a tree covered plateu just before the second steep rock climb before the summit. Have no pictures from there because there was no view with all the trees. I do however have pictures from the plateu just before the first rock face.

There are no pictures of the climb down, because i was pathetic and crying and convinced i had killed my baby doing such an intense climb. lol, poor DH. I was so stiff and in pain that the climb down took forever! I've been having a little problem with swelling since then... ugh. My left arm blew up so big that i couldn't close my fingers to make a fist, but it went down immediately after i had a chance to sit down. Still having a little trouble with my ankles, the left in particular, but its much better than yesterday. I'm trying to keep them elevated.

Other things we did on the trip, was putt-putt golf, wine tasting, and lots of cards. But I'm glad to be home and have my sore body in bed lol. I've missed you girls, and hope all is well!

kudos to you for tackling such a climb! And shame on your for tackling such a huge climb LOL But hey, how many other's can say they had maternity pics done on a mountain sumit!?! I think its great you felt good enough (and brave enough I would have been to clumsy at 24wks lol) to do all that! Hope the swelling goes down soon for ya. Now....kick back and take it easy and next fathers day you can tell that sweet baby of yours how mommy went mountain climbing while nearly 6m pregnant!

kudos to you for climbing that mountain. You are better than me, I wouldve just sat at the bottom while everybody else climbed and cheer leaded them on lol.

You look great by the way.
