So i need to take flagyl to get rid of the infection irritating my cervix.... but what if I can't keep it down???? I've wasted a couple of these babies already! I feel so sick. I feel like the beginning of pregnancy, except it's worse, because after projectile vomiting, your mouth tastes like metal.... ok i'm done sorry.

Maybe call your dr & tell them you take the tabs and then your sick pretty much straight after x

I think you can only do your best. Maybe try and eat a little something before you take it if you can (I know, easier said than done when you feel like garbage). Is it the medication making you sick?

i think it is the med because after vomiting and getting the taste out of my mouth, i feel better. But i know this isn't helping the dehydrating problem

i wish i had advice for you but all i keep thinking is put the pill in a cube of cheese, but that's for giving puppies medicine!

could you chew it? or would that just be disgusting? or maybe crush it and mix it in with some oj or a smoothie?

the taste is just horrible. swallowing is the only option. I have no trouble getting it down... just keeping it down. I'm going to skip my morning dose (since i lost that already) and make sure i eat a lot of food before my next dose.

OK, I may be way off base here. But when I was hospitalized for PTL, I also had a culture done because it's one of the biggies for causing PTL.

Mine came back fine, but they ended up treating me for it anyway. They told me that systemic antibiotics would not solve the problem. I was given a vaginal suppository to take SID for 3 days. It actually wasn't antibiotic, but some sort of transfaunation with the 'healthy' vaginal bacteria. idk, maybe something to ask about?

I know a LOT of people who can't take flagyl for the same reason. I think I'd also ask about a vaginal suppository based med....not sure how safe something like clindamycin would be but I know I have taken it as a vaginal cream before and that's what they gave me when my water broke before my group B strep came back.
